This deck was made by taking all the cards I own, sorting them by most valuable, and picking the 60 most expensive nonlands and 40 most expensive lands. If there's a better way to make a deck, I sure don't know how.

Gonna need some clarification on this list. Are these just the standard versions of the cards, or are they foiled/judge promo when possible?

If that Gaea's Cradle isn't a foil, wouldn't you just be totally embarrassed to play it?

I assume you wear a monocle and top hat while twirling your fanciest cane the entire time this deck is being played.

Oops, just realized I missed some cards that should probably be on the list, but missed because of eccentricities in scryfall's pricing. Wheel of Fortune, black border Forcefield, Mox Diamond, and Gauntlet of Might. I'll have to go through again and make sure I've maximized the bling.

Bought most of them quite some time ago. I paid 400 for the tabernacle, and about the same for the timetwister.

At this point it's kinda my backup backup retirement plan.

@Ruiner I'm all about function, so I don't play any foreign language or foil cards if I can avoid it (I also just detest foils in general, plus they can never match my non-foilable cards). Usually I favor the original printing (i.e. all the legends and p3k, minus a few judge promos), but I confess most of my ABU cards (including all my duals) are unlimited/revised. Which does give other people's decks a chance to be more expensive lol.

@Sefir No obviously, but I do play it single-sleeved. I'll die before I double-sleeve my own deck. It's not worth the handling annoyance for a completely unnecessary degree of protection.

I always have to suppress laughter when some pleb is talking about the merits of double sleeving while playing a deck worth less than a thousand dollars.

Pssh 25K. What a casul. The site's pricing my deck at 45K and it's using the wrong prices for a lot of the legends set cards and whatnot. Gotta be at least 50K.

I assume your Dakkon Blackblade|Legends is from legends rather than the few dollar white boardered chronicles? If so you can use Dakkon Blackblade|Legends to indicate the set and identify your superiority over white boarders.

@ISBPathfinder Lucky that sanctum is in the decklist already. I do need to find my Volrath's Stronghold though. I think it's in my crappy zombie loaner deck.

@Dunadain Already have a couple times. It did not win, didn't even come close. But damn did it flex.

@Legend Yeah yeah my revised duals are my secret shame.

It plays really really badly, as you might expect. There's a LOT of useless and near-useless bricks, there's barely any synergies to be had, and the manabase is real bad despite 1/2 of it being duals and fetches. But it's still kinda fun to try to figure out a way to do something relevant with it.

Best I ever did was stealing a Mistmeadow Witch away from my buddy's blink deck with Gilded Drake while he was tapped out, and then blinking the drake again to steal more stuff. Then he board wiped and I lost

I've never had issues with theft or damage to my cards in all the time I've played magic. I don't really consider it that dangerous to play with expensive cards. I'm sure there's some risk that it could happen now, but I could also just get hit by a car and die walking to the mailbox, and that doesn't keep me locked inside all the time.

The thing that makes me most nervous is accidentally bending a card while shuffling, if I'm not paying attention. So I do try to shuffle a little more carefully.
