Sudoketra is a magic-flavored 6x6 Sudoku game.
The game begins with a partially-filled board. The objective of the game is to fill each and every empty squares with the correct mana symbol.
Each square has only one correct symbol that it can be, and a complete board has only one valid solution.
When properly finished, a completed game board will look like the above, with each square containing a symbol.
Your game won't have the symbols in this exact order, however, as each game is different from the last, and each has only one correct answer.
A board consists of six blocks, such as the highlighted block above, with each block containing six squares. There are three rows of two blocks, shown divided by the thicker lines.
Each mana symbol appears within a block exactly once, never more and never less. In the above illustration, we see exactly one White mana symbol, as well as one Blue, Black, Red, Green, and Colorless symbol.
Like blocks, columns can also only have one of each mana symbol within them.
Thus, if the top square's Blue Mana symbol was missing, we would know that it couldn't be White, Black, Red, Green, or Colorless since the column already has one of each of those symbols.
Thus, if that square was missing, you would know it had to be the Blue mana symbol.
Rows, like columns and blocks, also contain only one of each mana symbol.
If you try to place a symbol in a square that is a duplicate symbol within its row, column, or block, the game will reject it and you will lose 1 life.
If you reach 0 life, you lose the game.
If we look at the top right Blue Mana symbol, for instance, we see that there are no other blue mana symbols in any of the highlighted sqaures — it's the only blue symbol in its row, column, and block.
Thus, we can eliminate Blue as a possibility if we were missing any of these squares, and by figuring out what can't be placed in a square, you narrow down which symbol has to go in that square.
Looking at each symbol individually, you can start placing them where they have to be. Eliminate colors that can't be placed in a given square, and remember that each block, column, and row will have a full set of symbols.
If you get stuck, there's a hint button that will help you. It'll cost you 3 life, but it will either correct a mistake (if you have one), or fill in a missing square for you.
