i wish the new blue Proft had been a dragon, basically that exact card would be such a workhorse for Korlessa, Scale Singer
(holds finger to ear) they're telling me no-one cares about Korlessa, Scale Singer
"MTG Star Trek Reprints $80 Staple Featuring Benedict Cumberbatch" how wonderful! I've always wanted to read a sentence like this!

Every time I see you doom posting - sarcastic or not - I want to shake you and remind you of the *gulp* Universes Within slate next year. Just close your eyes every other release and scream into a pillow, like I do.

Nauctis does sound really fun, I hope they're planning something big. I mean tales of the sea are often horrific, mythic, erotic... kinda hope they allow the team to get a bit wild. so many of the outside properties they're adapting are sterile in those departments. craving something like a modern Ice Age

Gideon's Memorial seems tailor made for Quintorius, History Chaser - cast your commander a turn earlier, then boost the tokens you're creating. Can also protect against attacks and play into discard synergies. Very versatile.

I'm also considering Face Yourself for the same deck, but less sure about it - after all, I've only just cut Moonshaker Cavalry, why go for another finisher that costs almost as much? What I like about the red sorcery (apart from the art) is that it's usable if you yourself have a decent board, but also if you have fallen behind and another player has an imposing army to be copied.

Another Displacer Kitten!

ofcourse its worse since it only triggers with creatures, and only targets creatures outside itself.

however, we all know this can be abused just as easy anyway, obviously another Shrieking Drake/Whitemane Lion like cards combo piece. or maybe anything with Cloudstone Curio/Temur Sabertooth

Arguably a better version of Displacer Kitten. Does not protect itself, but it also doesn't need you to split your deck between creature and noncreature spells.

In a lot of cases I only play a few versions of Ghostway in my blink decks, instead relying on single target versions and maybe 5 or so that get everything. This gives me a version that just does the thing when I see one of my Spirited Companions.

Rise of the deathbringer seems fantastic in Ygra, Eater of All.
Considering it for Hashaton, Scarab's Fist, both modes seem relevant there. Fairly tight list already though; will see if there's space for another expensive spell.

I like combo and even use the cards when the power is right but man do the on card self looping things like palinchron and this feel like lazy / poor design guess it speaks to power creep when they can print a 4 drop that combos with any ham sandwich and go no this isn't even that good it costs 4 needs other non vintage power cards to combo its fine lol. Im sure the people on lord of the beach will be ready to bounce drake/lion and cloud of fairies/drake/chron for days. Always great with the self looping combo cards want to all play together lol

Because Jace rewrote everything and this doesn't take place in the normal timeline, isn't Reality Fracture technically a universes beyond set?

By this logic, when can we expect Emrakul, the Aeons Torn to eat TMNT Earth?

The actual timeline interacts with Jace's timeline. That's like saying Endgame didn't take place in the MCU because they interacted with an alternate timeline.

"Creatures you control have trample" only costs one mana in its #2 color? That's pretty nice!

If Emrakul nommed TMNT out of Magic existence, I'd actually like the Eldrazi

The green Pia seems extremely degenerate. I was just looking some bad deck ideas and I found that green has huge number of extremely strong enchantments but lack consistent support for them.

Eg.
aluren
Food Chain
Omenpath Journey
Lost in the Woods
Defense of the Heart
City of Solitude
Etc.

There is like million directions you can take her and you dont need to include bunch draw to find important synergy pieces.

Even outside of higher power combo/reanimation lists, new Pia finds a strong enchantment while putting something else into your graveyard for a later Replenish effect, which is itself very strong.

  • Omnipresence isn't quite Omniscience... but it's cheaper, in the color that can ramp into it, and effectively the same once you have enough creatures. Seems pretty absurd, and arguably the best green 8-drop since Craterhoof Behemoth. You do need to have a board for it to function though.
I wish it cost 9 for Grozoth.dec. Hypergenesis also definitely in that list.
