I'd consider a Churchill deck.
I'd imagine a lot of Indians would feel weird about that.
Yeah, going actual historic would probably open too many cans of worms in this age.

Well devoid is involved so it won't be as back breaking since i do morophon devoid eldrazi (which will now become this legend) i wouldn't worry
I want to be optimistic, but playing against Zhulodok is always miserable, at least in my experience, so I have little faith they won't make the new legend busted somehow.[quote=Sporegorger_Dragon
Well I don't deny that this legend, or/and likely the side commander, also the new cards in this deck plus the ones in Modern horizons 3 main set is more than likely to make devoid eldrazi much better.

I know most of the new devoid cards are likely gonna be white involved since maro said there was suppose to be way more devoid cards with white in BFZ and OGW (they ran out of room)

But again quite a bit of the reprints are more than likely not gonna be backbreaking (they mostly focus on devoid cards from BFZ/OGW)

We're probably safe as long as we avoid anyone who could be held responsible for any mass death. Afaik da Vinci had a pretty small death toll.

Idk, I'm allowed to play as MTG villains, let me play as Genghis Khan.

Or, you know, better yet, just stop UB altogether, real historical figures in a fantasy TCG is dumb, but I know that ship has sailed.

The difference is that MtG villains are actually fictional and haven't actually killed real people.

Dude you're like dangerously close to saying you want a Hitler card, like you just pivoted to Genghis Khan at the last moment.

I don't get the controversy around real world figures. We've had Jesus of Nazareth for decades.

I like Arcade Gannon. He's my favorite Fallout character and it's nice to see his card is neither terrible nor pushed.

I'm looking forward to the Assassin's Creed cards did sure. I've played a lot of the games and always have a good time. Aesthetically I think they mix well with "normal" MTG stuff since they are generally low tech. From what is shown so far, I'm digging the original lead character Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.

He is, but in this context its Da Vinci the character from Assassin's Creed, not the real Da Vinci... not much of a distinction, I know.

Personally, I want a card for this 'William Shakespeare' guy, who I'm pretty sure is already a MTG character. He shows up in so much flavor text!

So my wingding mana is now also wingding mana? Amazing. In the past, I've actually jokingly considered cutting red from my cube and replacing it with snow and colorless mana, so it's very amusing to see that actually be supported.

As long as WotC doesn't call it a "documentary".

Because Wizards of the Coast is the only profitable segment of Hasbro and Commander-adjacent products sell better than products for other formats, so Hasbro is doing whatever it can to stay afloat.

Speaking of the modern horizons commander decks

https://magic.wizards.com/en/products/modern-horizons-3

They are officially up now and we get the description
Introducing 15 never-before-seen cards in each deck, these mighty 100-card decks come ready to defeat your opponents right out of the box
So there's 5 more new cards than usual in the decks

Oh boy @Avacyn Believer this could be more hairy than I initially thought with 15 new cards instead of 10 that could add much more support to make devoid eldrazi power level more on par with Zhulodok, Void Gorger/Kozilek, the Great Distortion decks, plus colorless matters is a huge theme in MH3 main set probably color hate as well like Spreading Plague (less mean) could happen.

Are they spoiling 4 sets at the same time? I'm so confused

Fallout
Blomburrow
Outlaw stuff
Modern Horizons III ?
Extremely belated, but they're doing the teasers for the next 6 months worth of set. Fallout is finishing up its previews, and then they're doing early look stuff for Bloomburrow (out in August), Thunder Junction (out in April), Modern Horizons (out in June) and Assassin's Creed (out in July). The first spoiler season for these (outside Fallout, which just finished up) will be Thunder Junction in late March, so we likely won't be seeing any new cards for a while.

I wish they'd keep trying to explore more design space for Boros like they did in Strixhaven, instead of an endless parade of equipment commanders.

I will not tolerate slander against Kellan, the Fae-Blooded // Birthright Boon!

For a long time Boros only went wide.

Queen Kayla bin-Kroog was quite different.

Looking at the RW Fallout commanders... They do generally encourage go-wide, aggressive strategies... but I would say only Cass specifically encourages playing a bunch of equipment (and even then, the only payoff is free equips when something dies). I will agree with the general sentiment of 'exploring more design space is good', but I also think that some new designs are being mined here.

...also, I've been wanting to push a RW artifact/equipment/voltron deck in my cube, so I'm very amused by Mabel, Heir to Cragflame.
