I'm pleasantly surprised to see a small smattering of skeleton support.

Humongous Raptor seems a little nuts for 4 mana, right?

At the very least, it made me laugh.

Contested Game Ball is also pretty great flavor.

As for other stuff (since I haven't commented recently)... Nearing the end of spoiler season, but still plenty of nice stuff.

The thing I like about Wanderglyph is that it buffs all artifact creatures, which is a much broader ability than buffing Saprolings. Considering putting it into Calgar for sure, and I might take that deck in a more artifact heavy direction overall because of this.

Bitter Triumph is a strong sidegrade on Infernal Grasp, one of black's best removal spells.

pros:
can hit planeswalkers
can discard instead of paying life

cons:
costs 1 more life
still lose the life/card if it's countered

Overall I think it's better. Hitting pws is a real upside, whereas the downsides mostly revolve around small downgrades to the life payment which isn't that important. For madness decks, it's pure upside ofc.

Technically also a small loss for cat lovers, but I don't think many Rakshasas saw play in cat decks.

The Rakshasa thing is cool if they make them more mythologically accurate, wonder what the art and flavor reboot will look like.

Naga going snake is interesting, I prefer naga as a type but this ends that debate and lets wizards use snake-folk without having to worry about keeping them similar to the source materials.

Umbra Armor and Kindred are nice away to move away from indigenous terms which weren't accurate to what magic was flavoring them as. I really like kindred or kin as a was to replace tribal (the slang for the deck type) as well.

Overall postive changes imo

as one does, I'll list here cards I intend to pick up soon. I'll skip the fish because there are too many of them. but know I'm looking forward for a buffet of fish

General Ferrous Rokiric

Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation - big token stuff. If it gets low enough price wise.
Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon boros and token stuff
Caparocti Sunborn boros stuff
Quintorius Kand - He is interesting... I have no idea how to evaluate him and discover.

Karador, Ghost Chieftain

Bartolomé del Presidio - 2cmc free sac outlet. great.
Squirming Emergence - I'll test it but it seems interesting

Veyran, Voice of Duality

Confounding Riddle - It's versatile, I don't know if its good enough for me to play, but I'll pick up a couple, one for this deck and another one for a Kefnet deck that I have and sometimes update
The blue and the red gods are both pretty good. the red ones makes the pingers hit like a truck, the blue one makes the magecraft triggers more constant. I might try them
Ore-Rich Stalactite - This is interesting, even though it doesnt ramp into veyran, it hits most of the deck. i think I'll try at least.

Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage PWs
Unstable Glyphbridge this is pretty good for this deck actually, its like a instant speed wrath here.

Toshiro Umezawa
Bitter Triumph - For Sure I havent looked much further but this one for sure

Other cards I'm considering

Carmen Cruel Skymarcher is a bit slow but seems good in karador. too bad its a bit slow.

Didn't notice it before, but it seems pretty great for decks that have commanders that cost 7 mana. Maybe it's worth playing in Morophon, the Boundless.

Cards I'm planning on adding:

Dauntless Dismantler for Éowyn, Shieldmaiden.
Wandering Throne for Éowyn, Shieldmaiden and Tymna the Weaver//Ravos, Soultender.
Master of Dark Rites for Tymna/Ravos.
Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal for Neheb, the Worthy.
Glimpse the Core for Legolas, Counter of Kills and Morophon, the Boundless
Current Decks
rg Morophon, the infinite Kavu Eowyn, human tribal Legolas, voltron control Wb Tymna/Ravos cleric tribal Neheb, Chicago Bulls tribal Ug Edric pauper

Retired Decks
Edgar Markov Kaalia, angel board wipes Ghen, prison Captain Sisay Ub Nymris, draw go Sarulf, voltron control Niv-Mizzet, combo Winota Sidisi, Zombie Tribal

is it ok to want The Enigma Jewel purely for its face side? I'm a confirmed Thran Turbine fan and would happily run another lol

Would you swap Sun Titan for Carmen Cruel Skymarcher if so, how much sac support would you want on your own?

Swap? Hard no. Sun Titan gets a lot of its power from its ETB trigger, which means it can be flickered / cloned / used as a combo piece. Carmen also requires additional support - Sun Titan decks are often heavy on 3-drops, and Carmen can't recur them without at least one trigger. If I were to want to swap out Sun Titan, I would use Guardian Scalelord.

That said, Carmen does seem interesting in the command zone, particularly if you have other ways to pump her.

That art on Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher is good enough to make me consider building a deck.

I actually ran him as soon as he was released, but since I don't run combos and just value I cast him once, realise it says non land and thats a big deal for me with fetches. I likely Carmen for evasion + scaling up

I just witnessed something truly special last night. I was playing a game and someone managed to assemble a combo that gave them infinite life. they said "alright, I gain 1 billion life." we all agreed to continue playing. I could still kill him with commander damage, and one of the other players could still mill him out.

Instead, however, the Zada, Hedron Grinder player managed to kill the entire table with finite combat damage. he was easily able to generate over a billion damage.

Idk, I just found it hilarious, that he had an infinite combo and chose 1 billion as an arbitrarily large number that nobody would be able to overcome, and Zada managed to do so trivially.

If anyone's wondering, it was over a quadrillion damage, So, if you find yourself gaining infinite life vs. a Zada deck, you'll need to name at least a quintillion, I'd probably name a google just to be safe XD.
All cards are bad if you try hard enough.

Important decks: Ebondeath, Dracolich, Zask, Phelddagriff
Other: Karrthus, Eris, Emiel, The Blessed, Ruhan, Kellan, Liesa, Galadriel, Orca, Sauron, Thantis, Rukarumel, Sisay, Stickfingers, Safana, Thantis, Dihada

Help me complete my JumpStart Cube!

i've been waiting for the dinosaurs decks new cards and....they have... DELIVERED!!!

Wrathful Raptors thats pretty much a wincon in a way because they will pretty much end up persudo banning opponents from casting Blasphemous Act (and ofcoarse a excuse to do the Polyraptor + Marauding Raptor draw since this will cause infinite damage)

Curious Altisaur a Curiosity static effect for dinosaurs. incredible

Sunfrill Imitator turns into a different dinosaur and you can loophole the legends rule with it. of having a second Gishath, Sun's Avatar attack

Scion of Calamity this is gonna be annoying to deal with for you opponents you attack the safest opponent to attack then the fake ones can force blocks because they are Neutralize on hits

Bronzebeak Foragers Grasp of Fate on a dinosaur/body that can put them into the yard count me in.

Progenitor's Icon instantly i can tell you that doesn't have to be used in tribal based decks you can just chose the type that matches your commanders card type that appears the most in the deck

Wayta, Trainer Prodigy we finally after all this years got a perfect "enrage" effects commander Heres all the options bonus its are next panharmonicon effect this time its pain so i called it"Painharmonicon"

Those are some good dinos. They are really pumping the power into all the tribal support these days. Every creature type is getting a coastal Piracy effect on a body.

I reviewed the rules on transform while planning to pick up one of the new transforming gods and want to make sure I am not making a mistake. When transforming from the Temple side back to the God side, the activation requires the land to tap. Transforming doesn't untap the card, correct? If so, that seems like a pretty significant drawback for the black and green gods whose best special abilities require attacking.

That is correct, yes. Unless a transform effect explicitly says to untap (ex: Azor's Gateway // Sanctum of the Sun), or changes zones (ex: Conqueror's Galleon // Conqueror's Foothold), it will maintain its tap status.

GUR
Legendary Creature - Human Ranger

First Strike, Reach
Whenever ~ attacks, exile up to one target legendary artifact card or legendary land card from a graveyard and put a discovery counter on it. You may play a card from exile with a discovery counter on it this turn.

Raid - At end of combat on your turn, if you attacked this turn, create a Treasure token.
