Reprieve is effectively a white Remand. I assume that has some implications, given that the set is going to be Modern-legal. At the very least, it's a nice addition to white's toolbox, which is currently pretty light on stack interaction. (also: Sunforger)

Preventing your own spell from being countered by blue player is also another nice side effect.

Do they ceremonially destroy the printer of The One Ring, like they did with the 1996 World Champion?

No, the printer is the only way to destroy the one ring.

Hehe, I've been looking for a replacement for pulse for sometime, ideally a land, but Sapseep Forest is far too little, and difficult to enable. So that's where my mind immediately went when I saw The Shire.

Considering they made a new card for the one ring, and they have MULTIPLE Sol Ring reprints in the set I kind of wish the Sol Ring's were the OTHER rings in LOTR

Obviously, 19 reprints, each of rings that we know barely anything about. would be ridiculous, but we could have:

One of the "Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky" with some art of Galadriel.
One of the "Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone" with... Thrain I guess? doesn't help that all of these got destroyed or taken by Sauron eventually, but still, and
One of the "Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die" which could be a picture of a Nazgul, with a hand reaching out, the ring on it's finger clearly visual.

So yeah, wizards, if you want to hire me, I work cheap.

@Dunadain I'm confused, isn't that basically what they did with the numbered sol ring reprints? Except all the numbers are multiplied by 100, presumably so a few normal people get them.

Explanation
There's one special alt-art version of The One Ring in an English-language collector booster somewhere.
There are also a number of alt-art versions of Sol Ring in collector boosters - 300/700/900 Elven / Dwarven / Human 'double rainbow' foils, plus another 3k/7k/9k nonfoils.

Maro's March of the Machine Teaser
Before previews for March of the Machine officially begin, I thought it would be fun to do another of my Duelist-style teasers where I give tiny hints of things to come. Note that I'm only giving you partial information.
First up, here are some things you can expect:
• Numerous cards that mechanically care about Phyrexians
• A double-faced token (one that transforms)
• A card that costs XUUUU
• A variant of a mechanic returns to a premier set for the first time since it originally appeared
• A legendary creature returns not seen since Homelands
• A creature capable of dealing eleven poison counters
• Some planes show up in card names that have never done so before
• Wrenn returns with a new partner
• Two draft archetypes that have a creature type matters component (one of which is Phyrexians - see above)
• The tenth _____ & _____ sword
Next, here are some rules text that will be showing up on cards:
• "You may cast spells with flash or flying from the top of your library."
• "an Aura, God or Demigod card"
• "where X is the excess damage dealt this way."
• "This spell can't be copied."
• "Activate only if you've cast two or more spells this turn."
• "Each player can't cast more than one non-Phyrexian spell each turn."

Think you are right on with your pairings - those all make the most sense to me too. I do suspect it'll be Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger + Kunoros, Hound of Athreos as a Mardu card instead of Uro + Kunoros hemming in on Atraxa's territory though.

Also the only name that works for me is Sword of Secrets and Lies, and my day will be immeasurably ruined if they call it literally anything else.

Honestly, it's really hard to pick a legend from that set that isn't eminently underwhelming to see again.

I anybody else really stumped on the flavour of Frodo, Sauron's Bane? Why does he have lifelink? Why does he make your opponents lose the game? Why is getting tempted by the ring a good thing? Why is he Orzhov? Did Wizards read the same LOTR that I did?

Honestly, come to think of it, this card would make so much more sense if it was Sauron, sure it would be weird for Sauron to be a one drop, but this card mechanically looks more like Sauron then Frodo.

It's a crappy card with crappy flavor and likely an extremely parasitic mechanic, which makes me a bit sad
