@Dunadain's Yidaro, Wandering Monster monster thread got me thinking, because I briefly played a Yidaro, Wandering Monster Jeskai control deck in the early Ikoria standard - 4 Yidaro's all cycling for profit and an eventual beater…

What would be your o in for the best card in Commander to receive the Relentless Rats treatment.

It's probably just Sol Ring — but let's go with cards that have some inherent self-synergy for the thought exercise!

All the Battalion Foot Soldier type cards (there are three of them) get very silly.

Biovisionary probably decent. Maybe Hedron Alignment.

All the cards with "whenever ~ or another ___ enter the battlefield" become fun. Things like Field of the Dead or Thieves' Guild Enforcer.
All cards are bad if you try hard enough.

Important decks: Ebondeath, Dracolich, Emiel, The Blessed, Phelddagriff
Other: Ruhan, Zask, Kellan, Liesa, Galadriel, Orca, Sauron, Thantis, Rukarumel, Sisay, Stickfingers, Safana, Thantis, Dihada

Help me complete my JumpStart Cube!

I'm not sure what the bolded part is supposed to say, but I think you are asking what cards should have "you may play any number of <this>." Is that correct?
There's probably more, but that's off of the top of my shiny bald pate.

Accumulated Knowledge would get out-of-hand pretty quickly. You'll be discarding a bunch of Accumulated Knowledge due to hand size. So you'll be doubling each time you discard end of turn.

I am less interested in cards that can have any number of copies and more interested in cards like Nazgûl and Seven Dwarves that allow you to play a few more copies in Commander.

Anything with Ripple would be instantly bonkers. Things like Charmed Stray also get pretty nutty with great alacrity.

For my money though, the best overall card to have this effect would be Rite of Flame or Manamorphose. Easy mode storm right there.

Agreed - having 9 nazgul adds some consistency in a fun and balanced way. Having 45 relentless rats and a bunch of tutors for Thrumming Stone makes for consistency in an extremely tedious way.

But as far as the prompt, I know ripple already got mentioned but surely Surging Flame is the correct answer. 65 copies or so, plus some lands and as many Lotus Petal adjacent cards as you can find. Pretty close to a guaranteed T1 win, even through countermagic.
