The RC's role, similar to that of a team handling residential plumbing in Vaughan
, extends beyond just managing rules to overseeing the format as a whole. Diversifying the RC, much like bringing different skills and perspectives to a plumbing project, may not directly affect rulemaking but could enhance their outreach and bring varied perspectives, especially on the format's informal aspects. For example, adding women to the RC is crucial, akin to how diverse experiences in fields like residential plumbing can lead to better service and an understanding of different client needs.

Having diverse backgrounds provides insights that might otherwise be missed, similar to how a residential plumbing team in Vaughan might uncover unique solutions based on varied expertise. Understanding these diverse experiences is essential, especially in a social format like Commander, where demographics can subtly influence the social experience. Expanding perspectives in any team, whether in gaming or residential plumbing, can lead to unexpected outcomes or reinforce current understandings, enhancing both the game format and service quality in fields like plumbing. This approach not only enriches the format but also ensures its health and relevance, just as diverse perspectives can improve residential plumbing services in Vaughan."

This version corrects for flow and clarity, ensuring the comparison between the RC's role and residential plumbing services in Vaughan is smoothly integrated throughout the text.

I saw that as well and honestly think it was pretty amazing and quite funny. The RC really do be like a plumbing company sometimes.

I was joking, but if you're serious, I'll try to come up with some specific criteria to track.

Dirk looking at baby names huh? Very interesting.....

We went pretty traditional with ours, Malcolm Alan Michael and Georgie Te Ahomarihi. Both family names. I'm pretty sure Aurelia is a name outside of MtG though, no?

My fiancée is really into a show called Yellowjackets and I just started and its pretty fun so far, but I feel so old and dumb, there is more than 1 timeline and they talk about the people in first name basis so I had to pull up a notebook and write names and characteristics down like an old person

I know people who have named their children Liliana and Iona, both specifically because of MTG. I've also met some Jaces out in the wild. Jaces Wild, if you will.

My daughter's name is Scarlett, but it could've just as well been Merieke Ri Berit.

So, yesterday i got to draft Ravnica Remastered - and i don't know what to think of it.
On the one hand, it has been one of the better Master/Remastered sets to draft, especially compared to Dominaria Remastered. There is plenty to get sentimental about and the decks we got to built were nice.
Buuuut, the value in comparison to its price tag is laughable. Aside from the Alt arts and shocklands, there are only 7 cards around 10€ - with only Cyclonic Rift and Bruvac the Grandiloquent exceeding it significantly.
With booster boxes sitting at 170€ that is shabby, simply put.

Magic is so overprinted right now, and paper standard so dead, that it is almost impossible for any set to retain value. Any cards with value will tank when they are eventually reprinted.
Reprint sets have it even worse. Unless they have very small print runs (like the first Modern Masters), the prices of all the cards are going to tank.

I think you want the booster price to be lower, which is fair.
But Shocklands, and Wizards is gonna milk it for every penny.

Does anyone else get irrationally frustrated with Magic's inconsistent use of spaces in card names? I'll be typing up a digital list and I'll get an error saying a card doesn't exist, because I added a space to a word WOTC arbitrarily decided was a compound word now.

There are literally hundreds of examples of this, but I think I might have come across the most egregious one today: Cliffgate

This card is part of a cycle, you want to know what the other ones are called?

Black Dragon Gate

Citadel Gate

Manor Gate

Sea Gate

notice a pattern?

WHY IS SEA GATE TWO WORDS BUT CLIFFGATE IS ONE WORD WIZARDS?!?!? YOU LITERALLY RELEASED THEM AS A CYCLE IN THE SAME SET! MY LAPTOP IS EVEN AUTO-CORRECTING CLIFFGATE TO CLIFF GATE BECAUSE THAT'S NOT A WORD! DO YOU THINK YOU'RE ABOVE THE LAW?!?!

We can't keep letting them get away with this.

They are above the law, because Necropotence should be pronounced similarly to omnipotence or impotence, but it's not. And. I. HATE. It.
