Have one, but have never played it. Realistically it's just not super interesting - there are loads of 3-mana creatures that draw when they connect (mostly in blue but some in green), so getting a land only is a pretty big downside by comparison.

Could be worth it for a deck like borborygmos (2.0). And it's probably an adequate enough cat for arahbo.

Wow, 54 decks on EDHrec. Just barely edging out sorrow's path - although this one would probably see decent play if it wasn't constrained by availability. Arahbo is the only commander of note, unsurprisingly.

Thursday, October 15th, 2020; Hunting Cheetah
A friend of mine ran this in his Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa//Tana, the Bloodsower deck and it was just as 'cute' as most other creatures in said deck.
Funny enough, i still had my Alesha, Who Smiles at Death deck back then and Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa was notorious for setting up Master of Cruelties kills for me.

I think it is a fine card and would a tad better if it were white and had evasion, as has been pointed out. Still, it would propably see some play in more laid back decks in my Meta - if it weren't freaking 15€, just for the sake of being printed in P3K...

I really need to pick up one of these for WB Korvald. That price though - but at least it fetches my Bayou.

Hunting Cheetah seems.... fine? It's an Ophidian effect that only fetches lands - good if you have a land-focused deck like Omnath, Locus of Rage or Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant // Sasaya's Essence, bad if you already are capable of hitting your land drops and want to draw action instead. Also some niche tribal synergies for cat decks. Still, I think I would pass in a vacuum, partially due to the price, but also due to power creep - I feel like there are better options for card advantage in green these days.

No reason to run this Cheetos crap when you can play Avenging Druid and get some real value IMHO.

Never used this card except in limited, seems sketchy. I don't know anyone who plays it, but using Sudden Spoiling on it or taking you opponents life with Word of Seizing seems hilarious.
EDH Decks:
Queen Marchesa
Chainer, Dementia Master
Will Kenrith

Evra, Halcyon Witness is.... interesting. I won't ever say a creature capable of one-shotting an opponent is completely unplayable, but at ten total mana to cast an activate, it requires a rather large investment. Doubling(ish) your life total every turn is pretty sweet though. On the other hand, if you swap life totals and it dies before you can regain that life, you'll have set yourself to four life, which is.... not great. It's also pretty telegraphed, which makes it easy for opponents to play around. Combine that with a lack of evasion, and I'm not that impressed.

Evra wants to be equipped! Hexproof and Trample are the big keywords that make the avatar superpowered. Spirit Mantle has been funny, too. I love my copy of Evra, which seems to fit best in w/u or Jeskai casual decks that can wrath, stall, play cards like Turn Aside and go into archenemy mode. I don't build multiplayer permission control that often but when I do Evra's a great finisher.

of course that's in the land of 60 card casual, and in EDH you wouldn't run Evra as the Commander but rather somewhere in the main deck, I'm guessing.

I have never played this card, thought I have considered it, and outside limited, I have encountered it only once. On that occasion, it immediately ate removal and left its owner at a very low life total, resulting in that player being eliminated before their next turn.

Potentially high reward, but high risk.
I have 68 active EDH decks, with more in progress. I don't consider this a problem. Do you?

I guess it has a home in W/U control decks, using the evasion and protection that blue can offer. Otherwise, Whispersilk Cloak seems to be its BFF.

cradle of vitality is... something like a 10 mana combo, but it's there and it wants in.

I feel like you should not activate Evra without being able to protect it or at least activate it a second time to put your life total back up.

I always liked this land. It's wierd cause it's definitively worse than a U-Sea or any other dual, but yet it's such a fascinating design.

Agreed, I love it, but it messes too much with my brain during complicated turns, so I don't really play it anymore.

I have never seen this one in play. I don't own one and am not sure I would run it if I did, as I prefer my lands to be a bit more reliable than this.

I only used it in Wydwen years ago. Then people stopped playing against it because its "too unfair" that I can play everything with flash.

You can play it if you like the art and/or frame. And that's a fine enough reason.

It is unfair to be able to play everything at instant speed. But it's also unfair to not be able to play green so it balances out.

I run River of Tears in a few decks, and I've generally been happy with it. It's close enough to an untapped dual land most of the time, assuming your deck is good at hitting land drops. It can be a little awkward at times if you mess up with sequencing - I often just play a land early in the turn so I don't forget, which can be awkward if I need extra blue mana. As a result, i probably wouldn't play it in digital... but in paper, it's easy to just retroactively tap mana correctly. Not the strongest fixing land, but it's a perfectly reasonable budget option.

I've never played this and can't think of any reason I would. It's an incredibly awkward land that really is unnecessary. So many other better options. I'd play an Island or a Swamp over it in most decks and on the rare occasion you need more UB sources just...play one of the 20 other options :P

It also consumes way too much headspace for its utility, having to keep track of when to play lands to make black etc.

It likely cannot produce black mana on an opponent's turn. It's a 1.5-color land.

Best tribal lord eva! Finally, a place where I can play my Teremko Griffins on-theme. 😂😂😂

Zuberi is a good candidate for a new card. The power level as a commander is too low, but I could see a new version of the card that is more powerful.

That'd be sweet. Maybe like a three cmc 2/3 flyer that makes 1/1 griffins for 1W and Griffin creatures you control have banding.. 🤔😏

I got my first Zuberi, Golden Feather at the Mirage Pre-release in Lansing (MI) back in 95(?). I spent the next two hours after the sealed portion trading for as many griffins as I could find and had built Griffin 1.0 before we left for home (and I felt so vindicated when Griffin Canyon came out in Visions).

It is my longest-running deck, and I still have a 60-card tribal legacy Griffin build. It may be on version 101.5 or so, but it has never been taken apart since I built that first version.

That said, I have tried to do a Zuberi Griffin EDH deck (and I have one on MTGO), but between power creep in the command zone and power creep in general (2/2 flier for cmc 4 isn't a value any more) it falls flat for this format. Not to mention that while there are enough griffins for the deck, there aren't so many that you can avoid obvious sub-par entries while still having enough for the theme. Also, there are a number of non-W and gold griffins now (e.g. Retaliator Griffin, Sentry of the Underworld, Misthollow Griffin).
