is a pretty solid rate to just win the game
Huh. I'm familiar with Omen Machine, but I didn't know it was a Phyrexianized Gate to the Aether. Neat!
It looks pretty questionable in a vacuum - your opponents get the first card off it, and giving opponents free stuff is usually a recipe for disaster. It can be good if your opponents are heavy on card types it can't cheat out (in which case they get nothing), but that seems... unlikely. I guess topdeck manipulation is also a thing - Lantern of Insight + Codex Shredder say hi.
Is 'combos with Obeka, Splitter of Seconds' the new 'combos with Doubling Season'? Because I suppose Obeka could make this work (although it still seems pretty meh). Otherwise, I think Omen Machine is generally the superior version of this if you want to cheat out big stuff - it doesn't give your opponents access to any resources they wouldn't already get, and shutting down card draw can serve as a legitimate win condition if you want to deny your opponents resources. I've contemplated it for Tasigur and Vaevictis - they're both light on card draw and heavy on expensive spells.

6 Mana artifact alone means it's probably not my kind of card, and it gives your opponents free stuff?? Yeesh

This card seems like it probably has awful play patterns. That's a lot of mana for removal, and if you hit someone with a big grip who isn't blue they'll probably be encouraged to empty their mitt in response -- and if they're blue, they're forced to counterspell it. Awkward.
Perfect fit in my Nashi, Moon's Legacy legendary tribal deck... but i can hardly see it outside of that and LotR block constructed.
It requires you to have a legendary creature or planeswalker first, costs 4 mana, doesn't exile and the exile to 4 cards in hand clause could be moot more often than not. Yikes
Side note: Some people in my meta still play Oathbreaker and i wonder if these legendary instants and sorceries are a thing there - arguably better ones of course.
4 mana spot removal is not good. Sometimes this is also an exile 1-3 cards, but even that isn't great. Also needing a legendary on board makes this pretty terrible.

Living Death = Probably one of the most compact win conditions for GY decks outside of straight combo. Been using is in Karador for years and it is my #1 way to win the game. I have gotten a little greedy with the self mill, but so far that deck is the only all-in GY deck in the meta, so not enough pressure to push GY hate to high enough levels to really punish me. I have been looking at other potential spots for this, but it really needs a certain deck to shine, but in that space, it is unmatched.
Today's card is a bad spot removal. in the golden age of spot removal, the legendary clause reduces reliability, and the mana cost is too high. In lengendary tribal, sure, but I'm not a big fan of the hand-hate rider on it anyway.

I don't like this despite running, and liking, Yawgmoths Vile Offering.
Yawgmoths filthy proposition costs more mana, has the same caring restriction, and is a sorcery, and has the additional restriction of being useless if there's no creatures in any graveyards, but reanimating a creature is huge value that you can actually build around and helps to win you the game, whereas the exile down to four cards rider just sort of hurts one person and not even reliably or that badly. I look at Yawg's as a reanimation spell that trades a casting restriction for also taking out the best creature your opponents control, and can be used as an overcoated removal spell that just gets something random from a yard in a pinch. That makes me throw it into any deck where legends matter, because the restriction is going to be miniscule there and I'm usually going to have something worth rezzing in the yard. This card, I'm not even sure it fits there.
Also, Sauron's helmet looks really stupid.

I agree and it's been bothering me for a while now. It looks stupid top-heavy and the neck strain must be enormous.
There's no biscuits and gravy in New Zealand.

Isildur's Fateful Strike looks... pretty underwhelming. Murder is a mana less and doesn't have any casting restriction. You get the upside of cutting down an opponent's hand to four fingerscards, but that sounds more annoying than game-winning. It's more impressive if you're playing against an opponent with a Reliquary Tower and a bunch of extra cards, but still seems meh. If I'm paying extra for spot removal, then I want either more flexibility or something more proactive.
Only as a meta-specific slot in Killian, Ink Duelist, and it's probably still at the top of the list to be cut.
Mirri, Cat Warrior counts as a Cat Warrior.

Hot garbage and even if it was good it wouldn't be fun.

I kinda like cards that Incentivize playing fewer colors, but this one is too easy to play around to be all that effective.

I've never seen this not get invalidated by random crap. Mana rocks and dorks, sometimes winding up kingmaking by stopping interaction in another players turn. Trash. Might play in a mono g enchantress I guess.
It seems like a mean floodgate at a glance and then you realize that most multicolored decks have a primary color so it's gonna annoy your opponents enough to band together and kill you, but it's not going to really stop them from playing the game. A really janky anti-counterspell tech card at best.

I find this, like Contamination, became far less effective once we entered the treasure meta. And I don't like that.
Still an interesting conversation to have, though.

I like the retro look and I think it's a decent card. That said the only times I run it are in my pillowfort deck where i'm copying one of my other enchantments.
