Sidisi, Brood Tyrant - Zombie Horde and Shenanigans
I like it, I'm just not sure what to cut for it or if it's really worth a slot since I don't reanimate very much except in certain situations.
Grave Researcher does look pretty good, but overall a bit slow needing to wait a turn cycle to get prepared before you get your reanimate.

New set spoilers, new toy for Sidisi:
Liliana the Repentant

Lots of zombies whenever a creature enters the battlefield sounds juicy <3

This with Sidisi could be very nasty. The problem is, finding a cut.KitsuLeif wrote: ↑2 months agoNew set spoilers, new toy for Sidisi:

Any current decklists yall are running? I'm a bit behind with updating decks (finally finished my Masters so I'll have time to mess with cards again)
I recently cut Cyclonic Rift to get rid of a Game Changer that would have catapulted the deck into B4, because this is a B3.5 deck at best:

Maybe I'll cut Mortuary for the new Liliana. Not 100% sure on that yet, though.

Nice deck list. Mine is slanted a little more towards zombie tribal (not 100% but more than most). I need to take out the Gravecrawler-Phyrexian Altar combo to get mine back to level 3.
Since I was taking out the GC/Altar combo, I decided to get away from zombie tribal since I already have a few zombie decks. Link in signature, would love some feedback.
Looks very similar to my list now^^

I'd probably cut World Shaper for Hedge Shredder, but other than that, I don't have any suggestions now.

I took some inspiration from yours certainly. I just changed some that fits my playstyle a little more.
Any thoughts on Brain Freeze ? A friend suggested it, but looking at it, it seems more like a gimmick card.
Just had a debate at the LGS about one of the combos in the deck. Someone argued that Aphetto Alchemist & Mesmeric Orb is a two-card combo that puts it into bracket 4. Nine or ten of us ended up in the discussion and it was pretty split down the middle as to what people thought. The argument for it being bracket 4 was that it's a two-card combo that requires very little setup. I've never had anyone question that combo before as not being bracket 3.
Any thoughts?

I'm not big on Brain Freeze, no :/
Funny enough, I thought about that "combo" a couple of weeks ago when putting my deck through commandersalt.com.
In the end, I don't think that it's a two-card combo, as by itself it doesn't do anything other than mill ourselves out completely. To not mill yourself out, you'd need a third card (an Eldrazi Titan) in the deck, and even with that one, it doesn't win the game, or bring it into a game-ending threatening state. Only with Sidisi, it's starting to become an actual combo, but even an army of 2/2 Zombies doesn't win the game on the spot without them having Haste.

But ultimately, the Bracket system heavily relies on intention anyway. Can Sidisi win before turn 6? Occasionally. But can you pull it off reliably in every game? Because that would make it a B4 deck more than a synergy of two cards that don't do anything to the game state on their own.

That's my argument against a lot of 2 card combos- without another card (or two), it does nothing. It's kinda like Dakmor Salvage & The Gitrog Monster, without Sidisi or Syr Konrad along with a Titan, it does nothing but mill you out.
Usually, I use him to seal the deal by pulling out a wincon, or a counter to protect that wincon.
I'm debating cutting Narcomoeba and Mortuary for Liliana the Repentant and maybe putting Krosan Restorer back in, I've won that way enough times previously I want to change things up some to keep it fresh.
ETA- I have to stop working while looking at previews. Twice I've looked at cards and gotten excited....and then I reread the card. Diviner of Victory // Unwind History I thought, sweet a limited Chain of Vapor on a body...then I noticed it was just creatures (the 3 mana value requirement didn't phase me, most of the GY hate I see is 3 mana or less). Then today Vraska, the Cutting Glare had me pumped that I could replace Assassin's Trophy to up the creature count...then I noticed the controlling 6 land requirement.

Yeah, so far, except for Liliana the Repentant, I haven't seen a lot for Sidisi in this set.
Unfortunately, there is a card in the Star Trek set that could become relevant for this deck: Captain Kathryn Janeway could either replace Path of Discovery, or be played for redundancy.

I don't know that I can see a Star Trek card in the deck. Kinda doesn't fit the vibe of a GY deck. (yea I know- I put too much on vibe according to some people)
I see myself forcing Seasoned Cryomancer into this deck for a test run, even though I know it's not a truly good fit.
I thought about DMM when I first saw it, but I'm not on Stitcher's Supplier and it's arguably better for mill triggers. Though if you want the aggression I can see DMM making more sense.
Yeah, I'm not playing Stitcher's Supplier either, so I doubt DMM will make the cut.
