I figured it would be good to make this thread

As of Reality fracture episode 4 it's finally been unmasked of what eldrazi purpose is, and episode 10 we see that in action
Monster in the moon' sounded interesting. So … what do you eat?"

And Tam is shown what the monster likes to eat. From her place braiding on the bed, she is surrounded by so many awful sights: a plane ripped from space and time, dissolving into nothingness; a wide landscape of bismuth-like geometry and warped human settlements, all shivering into nonexistence; jaws that are not jaws consuming an entire plane, a world of screams suddenly silenced—

The visions end abruptly. Tam keeps braiding and swallows her own scream. She begins to pull the braids back, pinning them in place. "You eat planes."

There's no chance of Tam relaxing anymore.

I prune worlds. When one grows sick, threatens the wilderness of eternity, or fails to blossom fully, I aid the broader forest by felling a single tree. The monster's wide eyes connect with hers.
So this really really strong implication that eldrazi's do infact recycle planes (the strongest theory by fans) that are dying/sick/abnormal condition, and maybe something ruining/hurting the multiverse

And episode 10 we see it in action
Tam was confident, but now she's terrified. Nevertheless, she holds tight to the connection, determined. There is a Multiverse that must be consumed. It is an illusion made real. It is not natural, but it is corporeal. Will you feast at my invitation?

The angel, the monster, sends back the impression of warmth. Yes, she smiles, I have been waiting so long to be once again what I am.

Another sensation—patience, the pleased stretch of dormant tentacles.

Your knowledge is ripe. I will come to devour and to heal. The mirror will crumble, and the garden will blossom once more.

A vision: Tam sits across from an angel, a chessboard between them. The queen moves, and her king falls. Checkmate. The board sinks into itself, unspools, and a mass of unbraided hair falls from the table.

Tam doesn't remember playing chess. No matter. She sends back the feeling of gratitude, of open doors, of the elation of freedom.

Enjoy your meal.
This indicates Emrakul's sees the echoverse as a mirror of the mutilverse blocking the light to give the plants photosynthesis and plans to make the sun shine on the real multiverse again and break the mirror

And Ulamog and Kozilek not only they do similar stuff and also they make emrakul job alot easier by preparing the planes or whatever they have as their target to get the job done (Ulamog consumes the mana part and kozilek deals with the reality part of their targets, and their wastes is like preporation for emrakul to do her work)

'Eldrazi are the multiverse's garbage collectors and clean up dying planes' was one of my theories waaay back in BFZ block, so it was nice to see it confirmed. So, time for more speculation!
Some thoughts:
  • Fact: The Multiverse is large but finite.
  • Fact: Planes are formed out of mana and aether.
  • Fact: Mana and aether can not be created or destroyed, only changed.
  • Fact: Planes are capable of merging together (i.e. Arcavios) and splitting apart (i.e. Alara).
  • Inductive fact: If the raw materials of planes can't be created or destroyed, then the resulting merged or split planes will still be the same 'mass' as the originals.
  • Fact: Eldrazi eat planes. More specifically, Emrakul just ate the Echoverse (which is not quite a plane, but close enough).
  • Inductive fact: Therefore, Emrakul must be 'bigger' than she was prior to eating.
  • Speculative fact: Only three Eldrazi Titans existed. Now only Emrakul is left.
  • Question: what happens after an Eldrazi eats a plane?
  • Hypothesis: Emrakul may spawn a new Titan
  • Hypothesis: Eldrazi may be related to the creation of new planes
I'll also note that the Eldrazi were sealed for thousands of years, so it's possible Emrakul may also go munch on some other dying / weakened planes that have decayed since the initial sealing. I'll mention Amonkhet as one potential candidate, although it's also possible it has been doing better since Bolas stopped manipulating it. Of course, it's also not like we know the feeding schedule of Eldrazi - maybe now that she's full she'll go take a nap somewhere. I do feel like Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger would always be up for another meal though.

Alternatively, Eldrazi have been less common in the Edge since the Fomori-Eldrazi war millenia ago, and it's possible that the timeline lines up with the Titans being sealed in Zendikar. As a result, it's possible that Emrakul's release may result in more Eldrazi showing up in the Edge. It's a bit tricky to interpret the presence of Eldrazi in the Edge though - it's possible that they're also manifestations of the Titans we know, or they could belong to an entirely different set of Titans... or perhaps Titan-class Eldrazi are actually much more common than we think.

I think one thing to keep in mind is we don't know what the eldrazi see as a "dying plane". IIRC we had a story where Nahiri and Sorin are on a plane eaten by an eldrazi and it seemed on surface reading to be just fine. So no idea if places like Amonkhet or Phyrexia would be something they would nom on.

Ha, that's a good point. Could be narrative ('Eldrazi attacking this plane would be an interesting story), opportunistic ('this plane doesn't have the defenses necessary to protect itself from Eldrazi'), or even just a matter of scale ('this plane will be gone in 10,000 years, which means it's practically gone already').

...I suppose the joke (but also somewhat literal) answer is that Emrakul treats the multiverse like a bonsai tree and prunes whichever planes look the worst aesthetically, or seem like they'll cause issues in the future. I do assume that the usual 'eldritch abominations operate on a much larger scale' trope applies here, and Eldrazi care more about the multiverse as a whole than the status of the denizens of any individual plane. On the flip side, it's also not really clear how planes can interact with one another (prior to omenpaths, at least), so it's hard to say how one would actually be an issue.

Also helps keeps the eddrazi somewhat "unknowable" which is keeping wth cosmic horror monsters.

Well what we do know is eldrazi's are no longer villains we can probably call them anti-villains now (claim to do stuff for good but techniques extremely questionable for this case death of billions/trilions and destorying planes even though it's removing a plane that's harming the multiverse)

And as five color said which would probably be in Ugin's research project if tam told him what Emrakul said "what to a eldrazi is a sick/dying plane."

I think another good one to ask is how are eldrazi titans born? (Not linages and spawns)

And story spec is can some reanimate down the line (like Ulamog and kozilek) I remember in EOE planeswalker guide a artifact called "fabric of all being" it slows eldrazi reanimating but the drix really want it to be permanent death
