I haven't seen anything that good at the big box stores in years. Those little storage cubes could sometimes be straight fire. I've picked up Commander decks, duel deck halves (including Divine vs Demonic with the face cards), the Kamigawa theme deck with Umezawa's Jitte in it. All kinds of goodies. For super cheap, too.Hermes_ wrote: ↑3 years agoso, i picked up one those two booster packs and a commander deck with storage things at walmart and the commander Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder so,i'm not sure if it's the actual C16 deck or just a deck or random junk with yidris as the commander.

@WizardMN Got some definite value on those PW pulls. I haven't had awful luck in that regard with the SL's, but not that good lol. I know I've gotten a couple good ones but mostly passable ones overall.
well, now i'm wishing i had left the deck sealed.. it's the whole c16 Entropic Uprising deck. Walmart had one other but it had the same boosters as the one i got (core 19 and War of the spark)RxPhantom wrote: ↑3 years agoI haven't seen anything that good at the big box stores in years. So I brought this up a few months back and there were a few folks interested in the topic. @Sanity_Eclipse @Lifeless @ISBPathfinder the 4th and final season of Castlevania just dropped on Netflix. I....uh....dealt to it in one sitting and was hyped the whole damn time. Some of the action is as good as the series have ever produced, y'all should definitely hit it up.
I just finished season 3, pretty hyped about season 4

Get into it for sure - its hella good.
Today's the Suns first playoff game in 10 years or so, so that's what I'm doin. I even signed up a betting account with one of the bonuses so I could give them an extra incentive by betting against them. Take my fake money!

Fair enough. I haven't seen any sportsball games in a long ass time. Hope your team is able to do all the things!
Relatable. It's honestly worth the wait. Some of the best fight scenes in the entire series are in this season. It's very, very good.Sanity_Eclipse wrote: ↑3 years ago...I still haven't seen Season 3.toctheyounger wrote: ↑3 years agoSo I brought this up a few months back and there were a few folks interested in the topic. @Sanity_Eclipse @Lifeless @ISBPathfinder the 4th and final season of Castlevania just dropped on Netflix. Like, comparatively to the end of Season 2 what are we talking? 'Cause that's flapjacking excellent.
I'd say its comparable if not better.Sanity_Eclipse wrote: ↑3 years agotoctheyounger wrote: ↑3 years agoRelatable. It's honestly worth the wait. Some of the best fight scenes in the entire series are in this season. It's very, very good.

Castlevania was really good. I would say that season 3 felt bit weak but season 4 was great. I wasn't aware that it was the final season but looking back at the ending I guess I can see that. Its a shame though as it was really good quality. Still, I would rather see a good show do what it was there to do than drag on forever and fall apart.
Too many shows get too busy riding their gravy train than actually accomplishing a continuance of being good (looking at you walking dead).

Yeah I'd always prefer that they tell their intended story and quit while they're ahead. They are working on a spin-off series in the same world with different characters from what I've heard. There are plenty of great stories in the Castlevania games that they could borrow from - I'd love to see a show from the Soma Cruz era for instance - although that would be very anime.

Agree entirely. Some of my favorite shows have ended and left me wanting more, this example definitely being in that list. You really don't want your show grinding its axe long enough to fade into obscurity. Go out with a bang, not a whimper, etc.ISBPathfinder wrote: ↑3 years agoCastlevania was really good. My fave comedy rn, Brooklyn 99 is due to end this next season too which really sucks. But, they've been superb for 7 seasons straight with almost no filler at all and its definitely worth going out strong.
I'd heard the same about Castlevania too - there's definitely plans for spinoff. Knowing very little about the lore from the source material I'm entirely unsure what thats gonna look like but if its of the same quality I'm 100% into it.

Watched the first couple seasons I think? of 99, need to get back into that one too. Absolutely exquisite. [ chef's kiss ]
Yeah, I watched 7 seasons of that in about a week in February. In fairness, I did have covid19 at the time, so I had nowhere to go and no desire to do anything else, but it's definitely good enough to binge the whole thing.Sanity_Eclipse wrote: ↑3 years agoWatched the first couple seasons I think? of 99, need to get back into that one too. I firmly believe Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) is the funniest man on television right now. He makes that show stellar. Samberg is a funny guy for sure, but Braugher scratches an itch you literally cannot get to any other way.tstorm823 wrote: ↑3 years agoYeah, I watched 7 seasons of that in about a week in February. What was it, Holt was doing yoga or hula hooping? Then deletes the photos. "You sick son... -------" (mostly remember that from meme / compilation type videos but w/e)
Love it. Hundo percent need to get back to it.

I just wanted to say that it's been really cool seeing more new pieces from Richard Kane Ferguson, even if most them are exclusively Dakkon Blackblade related. Profane Tutor is terrific.
