I see Wight of the Reliquary in MH3, I need! Turning Zombie Tokens into lands sounds amazing.

Can we talk about Gossip's Talent? This is Snarling Gorehound on steroids!
On its Level 1, it's already doing more than the old hound, on Level 2 it makes Sidisi unblockable (if Urborg + Filth isn't around, that's nice to have), and on Level 3 it blinks Sidisi for another selfmill (and pseudo Vigilance). Sidisi is really eating good these past couple of sets!

I took a hiatus because of school but now am coming back. Need to go through recent sets and update mine. Any suggestions off the top of your head?

Aftermath Analyst is a better (and creature-typed) version of Splendid Reclamation.
Blossoming Tortoise is another self-milling creature that brings back lands on EtB or attack. Its other abilities are pretty useless in this deck, except for activating Cabal Coffers/Volrath's Stronghold or pumping Dryad Arbor, but its first ability does more than enough.
Ever wanted a Path of Discovery in Black and now in Blue as well? Snarling Gorehound is an amazing 1-drop that surveils after Sidisi makes a Zombie, and if you put a creature card into your graveyard and make another Zombie, it surveils again, and so on. Gossip's Talent does the same, but isn't restricted to creatures with power 2, and it also does even more for Sidisi if you level it up.
Bramble Familiar is a manadork early on, but also a great tool in the late-game to dig for something big, especially if you were able to set it up with Scroll Rack before.
Wight of the Reliquary grows with each creature in the yard, has vigilance and can turn Zombie tokens into land drops, which is pretty ridiculous for a 2-mana creature.
Shifting Woodland is at worst a green-producing land, and at best it becomes a copy of any nonland permant in your yard, with instant-speed. A pretty good land if you ask me.

Wow. I'm loving most of those. Especially Shifting Woodland and Wight of the Reliquary. Gossip's Talent looks pretty sweet too, as do the surveil lands that have basic land types.

What do you think of Six

I've played it in the Brawl version of this deck on Arena, but the fact that it only returns a land from the three milled cards and not any land card from the yard like Blossoming Tortoise makes it less viable. It was mostly a trigger for Sidisi and only sometimes a reanimation engine, so I ultimately ended up not putting it in my paper list.
If I wanted to include it, I'd probably cut World Shaper for it. That one also got very obsolete with the release of Aftermath Analyst.

Yea. I have it in my zombie build but don't think it's good enough for my optimal build at all. I'm torn on keeping World Shaper.

I still have it in my list, but only until something else drops that I need to make room for. I recently cut Doom Whisperer for Gossip's Talent, because, while the Whisperer isn't bad, Gossip's Talent is doing so much more way earlier, bringing my creature count down to just 49 + Sidisi, but I think it's worth it.

Here's my beginning point, still working on some things though.

https://deckstats.net/decks/6217/770491 ... bie-tyrant

ETA- got to play a few games today at the LGS before work and I got wrecked in one of them by an Anafenza, the Foremost deck who when he didn't have Anafenza out managed to tutor for Rest In Peace so I've added a little more removal to the deck.

Yea. I'm considering those. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hoping to get some new toys in the next set.

Huh, I somehow missed this card. And boy, do I have thoughts about it!

First of all, it's unfortunately not a creature, when it comes to milling it for Sidisi.
But it really makes up for it with its abilities!
Getting all the milled lands into play is amazing. Attacking with it can potentially trigger Sidisi and its Crew ability is pretty abusable for shenanigans with Mesmeric Orb.
Yeah, I'm going to think of cuts for this one.

And also for Nashi, Searcher in the Dark. I'm playing 26 Legendary and or Enchantment cards that Nashi can return to my hand. Triggering Sidisi while doing this sounds absoultely amazing, and I'm in need of more early game plays anyways.

Yea, I really like Hedge Shredder and already know what it'll replace. Nashi I'm less certain about, I don't run near as many legendaries as you do.

Anything else from the set that caught your eye?

Polluted Cistern // Dim Oubliette could be a fun finisher even without Sidisi out, when we have Aphetto Alchemist and Mesmeric Orb already on the board, but I kinda doubt it will be as useful otherwise, so I'll probably not put it in my deck.

I saw that one and thought about it but I had the same thought about it not being useful otherwise. Nothing else really jumped out. Cathartic Parting looked kind of interesting until I noticed it was sorcery speed.

Ok. I came around on Nashi. After some tinkering I'm up to 23 legendary and/or Enchantment cards Nashi can return so I'm going to give it a try.

ETA- I'm also giving Cynical Loner a try. We'll see how it works out if I ever draw it.

Hi did read through here and found many nice upgrades to my version of Sidisi. I would ask you guys about certain cards that are not so clear to me maybe shake it up a bit :dizzy: :
Altar of Dementia - I was not able to find any combo you run with this one so I wonder why this is in. There is a reason to stop 'gain/exchange' control benefits from opponents with saccing the creature and chump blocking stuff but other then that there is only to sac your whole board to mill someone out for the win most likely. How often do you really win with this - it seems a bit theoretical but maybe I have not yet leaned enought into the zombie horde thing If you manage to get like 50 zombis regularly then this might be a thing  please enlighten me here it it 100% auto include?.

Hedge Shredder - how is the shredder performing for you I stayed away back then because it's no creature and I do run Aftermath Analyst together with World Shaper Would be a shame if the GY has less cards for the mass recursion effect. Even the single ones Erinis, Gloom Stalker or Ramunap Excavator from a theoretical standpoint looks conflicting do they not?

Turntimber Sower - Well what is this another sac outlet? Why is this here

And maybe alongside some questions i can give something back :nerd: :
Entomb, Buried Alive what are your targets for those except Filth and Wonder? I can recommend Corpse Connoisseur as a working alternative. Also am I right that Final Parting is for filth and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is there another line if this is already in the grave?

Since you played the cool new turtoise I want to make you aware of Tomb Fortress, Port of Karfell and Plaza of Heroes those tap lands are actually worth playing. Agadeem's Awakening is also dope land tech here

Also from what I have seen so far in games get an Ohran Frostfang and don't look back. How do you like the performance of Scroll Rack I considered this also but have not yet had the guts to put it in.

What is also a must have is Kira, Great Glass-Spinner save me many games.

And why the hell is no one playing Six its a poor mans muldrotha with sidisi synnergy.

And on other thing to win with this whole thing Living Death. It really is a tested winner card mid-lategame or after a wipe.

And then there is the new kid Glarb, Calamity's Augur. Speaking of new kid ther is the spicy Eladamri, Korvecdal which I found very helpful

Two last things. Have you ever considered Lich-Knights' Conquest even tho its a sorcery? And if you would run Finale of Devastation what would you target with it.

In my current list I use tags to figure out how many slots fill what at the moment. What cards do you miss in my list? https://www.moxfield.com/decks/e3Gwl9Gk-Umrv_uJjRNfpg

cheers :)

Ages ago, in the original version of DementedKirby's Sidisi list, Altar of Dementia comboed well with Mortuary + Narcomoeba, creating a near infinite amount of Zombies with Sidisi out. But even without that combo, it's an amazing card, and I'd say it is an auto-include, at least when you run a recursion piece like Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre or Kozilek, Butcher of Truth. Or even the budget piece, Gaea's Blessing.
You can combine it with Adrix and Nev, Twincasters or another Doubling Season effect, target yourself with it, sac a Zombie and get two new ones out of it. Yeah, sometimes you hit 0 creatures when milling yourself, but with enough creatures in the deck, you can pretty reliably set up a large army of Zombies.
You can also use it to create some surprise-blockers. Your Zombies are all tapped out? Sac them to the Altar and create a bunch of new ones to block an attack that would have otherwise fully hit you.
And sure, sometimes it can be used to go for a mill win attempt, but more often than not, it's just a great utility card that should be considered.

It's been over three months since I last played MtG (and four, since I played Sidisi), and had no chance to test Hedge Shredder yet, but it reads like a great alternative to World Shaper (which I had cut from my list a month before the Shredder got released). And most of the time you do not have access to all of the cards at the same time, so having some redundancy in the deck can help to get what you want, even if that means that if some cards end up being dead cards later in the game then.

Not only is Turntimber Sower another token spawner, it can also double as a sac outlet and land recursion for the important utility lands. Just like I said: Redundancy.

Entomb can get you an Eldrazi titan at instant-speed if you are targeted with graveyard hate to protect your yard from it. But if you have something like a Havengul Lich or Lazav, the Multifarious ready to reanimate something else, you can just pick what you want in your graveyard. Same for Buried Alive and Final Parting.

Tomb Fortress and Plaza of Heroes both exile themselves for their "big" activation, not a big fan of that. Port of Karfell could be worth including (even though it has a steep activation cost; tapping seven lands just to mill four and get back a creature... meh), but I don't really have lots of land slots that I can fill. Maybe Cabal Coffers, because it's only good with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth out, and I don't have a lot of big mana spells in the deck anymore that would justify its inclusion. But not sure if I'll put Port of Karfell in its place instead.

Scroll Rack is amazing. It gives you a (partial) fresh hand, while also setting up the cards you want in your graveyard when attacking with Sidisi, so next turn, you can dig even deeper with Scroll Rack.

Kira, Great Glass-Spinner is a two-edged sword, and in my case, it doesn't add anything to the deck strategy, instead of being "goodstuff". In fact, it would even destroy one of my combos (Aphetto Alchemist + Mesmeric Orb), so yeah... not really a must have for me.

I have considered running Six, but most of the time I only have one land in hand to play for that turn, and I rather use it for the land drop instead of "wasting" it and being a land short later on.

Living Death. Yeah. It's a well-tested card. Unfortunately, this deck doesn't have lots of possibilities of reliably getting it into my hand. If it ends up in the yard, I don't have a good way of getting it back into my hand. And once I mill Ulamog, my yard doesn't have anything in it that's worth using Living Death for. If I were to run a Living Death effect, I'd go with Bringer of the Last Gift, because it's just a creature version of it and synergizes better with Sidisi. But still, for the reasons I listed, I don't want to include it.

I have seen both Glarb, Calamity's Augur and Eladamri, Korvecdal. Glarb is nice to have, but nothing I'm hyped about. Eladamri on the other hand is pretty juicy, and I might have to give it a try once I know what to cut for it.

Same for Lich-Knights' Conquest what I said for Living Death. If I were to run Finale of Devastation, I'd use it to search for Craterhoof Behemoth, lol.

We both seem to have very differing approaches to Sidisi. I've tried to stay closer to DementedKirby's list from a couple of years ago, and even though our lists branched apart (35 different cards as of now) over the years, I still believe, the core philosophy has stayed the same. But yours and mine have 68 different cards in each list. What works in your list, might be devastating to mine. This is what makes it hard for me to judge other deck lists.
You are playing lots of goodstuff like Toxrill, the Corrosive, Void Winnower, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur and others, which I'd probably never run in this deck. In my eyes you are missing the recursion that an Eldrazi like Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre or Kozilek, Butcher of Truth provide. If you put an Angel of Suffering in your deck, you'd get milled out easily, while my list only benefits from it. Using an Aftermath Analyst to put all your freshly milled lands onto the battlefield as reaction to the shuffle trigger of Ulamog is perfectly valid, and makes the opponents' faces go "O_O".
That doesn't mean that my list or DementedKirby's is perfect. It's just that we figured out what works best for us, and if you have found something entirely different working for you, that's great! But because it is so entirely different, it's hard for me to come up with new cards that could fit into your list, because I'm in a different mindset when it comes to Sidisi, if that makes sense?
I appreciate your questions on card choices, though, and will likely think about running Six and Eladamri, Korvecdal again.
