Yeah, the key art was already "confirmation" - it essentially wouldn't be advertised without new Eldrazi stuff in the set. This, however, appears to be confirmation that Eldrazi might be a full-on major theme of the set. Your logic about Play Design wanting a revitalized Tron deck as some kind of Modern balancing force may be true or may not be.
Plus in modern horizons 3 DFC cards are a thing and in eldritch moon the dfc cards had a high transform cost to turn into eldrazi and stay that way. They could do something similar here.
that set also introduced meld atleast one will atleast one that's eldrazi related we could go outside eldrazi with something like human yawgmoth melding with the core of phyrexia to god yawgmoth
And plus they could try again with devoid that did minorly warp eternal formats
Kozilek's Return was almost the chase card because it defeats cards like
Etched Champion in affinity decks. And "B" maro said there was suppose to be way more than
Eldrazi Displacer for white devoid cards and it was simply due to not enough room so we could get more in modern horizons 3.
And most of all we still need a legend for Eldrazi Kindred (Tribal)
Zhulodok, Void Gorger — colorless matter not eldrazi Kindre
Kozilek, the Great Distortion — same problem as Zhulodok
Morophon, the Boundless — is the go too for any tribe commander but to everyone it just doesn't count as a offical tribal legend since it not necessary the same creature type as the tribe you want
And if we time travel to Q&A of weekly mtg from "Jumpstart 2022" very quickly either the first or second question was "why wasn't there a eldrazi lord legend"
So modern horizons 3 could be the end of the wait for a eldrazi tribal legend (either colorless or devoid 5-color legend)
And one more bonus
Clearly we're getting retro frame treatment again in modern horizons 3
This was a attempt for colorless cards in retro frame so they could use the eldrazi as a excuse to try again.
