I really like Tendril of the Mycotyrant's ability to make big fungus bois from lands. It's perfect flavor-wise for what the Mycotyrant does. This legendary has a more affordable version of that ability, and adds a pretty useful trigger too.

Fungal Incubator Grounds -- Land
, Sacrifice a saproling, tap a fungus you control: Create a copy token of the the tapped fungus with impending , where is the toughness of the tapped fungus. The copy enters with time counters and isn't a creature until the last is removed. At the beginning of your end step, remove a time counter from it.
When the copy has no time counters on it, put a Spore counter on it.

Edit: Renamed. For brevity, aligned more with "impending" mechanic instead of "gestation," but the keyword ability doesn't quite totally fit because I have to cross out some words.
