Welcome to the DCC!
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post in the DCC Discussion Thread.

How To Play

How does this card-making game work? It's simple! Whenever your card receives a vote, you receive [1] point for the month. If your card ends up with the most votes for that day, you will receive [2] additional points for the month. In the event of a tie, each person who tied receives [1] additional point. At the end of each month, the person with the most points on the scoreboard wins that month, then the scoreboard is cleared for the next month. You can participate in as many or as few days as you want in any month.

Rules

  • Each day you may post any card you want. On the next day all of the posted cards will be put into the thread as long as your card didn't get disqualified - see the next point for more details. If you post more than one card in a DCC thread, only the first card you post will be taken.
  • When you vote, you need to make exactly two votes for two different people.  Vote for the cards that are listed in the first post, not other cards being posted in the thread.  If you notice that you've only voted for one person, include your second vote in a post, even if you're not submitting a card.
  • If you want to change your vote for any reason, post that change in the day's thread (you can include it with your card if you want). Changed votes in the discussion thread will be ignored.
  • Voting for only one person, for three or more people, or for yourself will earn you an asterisk by your name in the monthly leaderboard. So will failing to vote if you've posted a card. (We're not going to do anything about people who don't vote or post cards; that would be kind of silly.) This indicates that you're on probation for the next 21 days. If you're on probation and you make another improper vote, your card will be disqualified. Repeated disqualification is grounds for warnings and/or infractions for not following the game rules, so please don't do it.
  • Voting for everything in the poll will be grounds for a lifetime ban from the DCC. Don't do it. It just wastes the thread creators' time.
  • If you wish to post a render, please use the hyperlink option when posting your card and make the card name the image link. Renders are usually large enough to clog up the list, so submit a text-formed card and (optionally) a link in the name to the render.
  • This thread is just for your card submission. Take your questions/comments to our discussion thread.  If it's a question, comment, or complaint about probation, PM void_nothing and/or the month's DCC organizer.
  • When posting make sure that:
    • You have included all of the previous day's entries.
    • You update the leaderboard with the previous day's scores.
(An easy way to post the new thread is to hit the multiquote button on every post in the previous day's thread, then click Post Reply. Select everything in this post, copy it, and then paste it into the first post for a new thread. You'll have to clean up a few small things, like quote tags around the opening post and the previous day's cards.)

Notes of the Day

Time to get started on another week.

netn10 wrote: When False Lead dies, if it was face-down, draw two cards.
This ability doesn't work as probably intended. Currently, "dies" is only for creatures and planeswalkers, even if I agree with you that it should be used with any permanent. But that's not the problem. What doesn't make this work is the fact that a leaves-the-battlefield triggered ability, such as a death trigger like this, looks back in time to determine whether it should trigger, and when it looks back in time it sees a face-down creature with no abilities, including this one, so it doesn't see the ability being there on the face-doen permanent as it last was on the battlefield, so it doesn't trigger at all, regardless of the intervening if clause. To have this ability work as intended you need something that doesn't look back in time, like "from anywhere". If you write it like this:
When False Lead is put into your graveyard from anywhere, if it was face-down, draw two cards.
then it can trigger (depending on whether the intervening if is true or not), because "from anywhere" specifically doesn't look back in time despite still being a leaves-the-battlefield triggered ability. It's not functionally identical (for example it would theoretically count milling as well, which the original wording doesn't) but it's the closest I can think of to a triggered ability that can work as clearly intended here. By the way, the intervening if is checking for "face down", which is a status of a permanent, and permanents exists only on the battlefield, so the intervening if is only true, allowing the ability to trigger, if it's put from the battlefield to the graveyard, not from any other zone, where the status is nonexisting and thus undefined, so the intervening if is false in that case and the ability doesn't trigger anyway. Essentially, "from anywhere", which is necessary for the ability to not look back in time and not even trigger, is not really from anywhere, but only from the battlefield, and the intervening if takes care of excluding all other possible cases. So milling would NOT actually work, and that's why I said "theoretically" above, nor would anything else but the permanent dying, as intended. You need to say "from anywhere" and let the intervening if exclude the unwanted cases. It wouldn't be intuitive at all, because "from anywhere" is not actually from anywhere, only from the battlefield, and most players wouldn't understand why it needs to say "from anywhere" to work. I think this is why they haven't done something like this yet in real Magic.

Alarming Suspicion 2B
Enchantment — Aura (U)
Enchant creature
When Alarming Suspicion enters the battlefield, suspect enchanted creature. (It has menace and can't block.)

@bravelion83 : Thanks for the extensive explanation. I do wonder how this could be neatly worded.

Leyline of the Gamblers
Enchantment (Rare)
If Leyline of the Gamblers is in your opening hand, you may begin the game with it on the battlefield.
If a player would draw a card, that player discard a card instead. When they do, they exile the top two cards of thier library. Until end of turn, they may play these cards. If they can't discard a card, they put the bottom card of their library into their hand.

When doubt does stride with iron-laden foot
and chooses take my pride in my own self,
in ragged chains drag I to hell from wealth
and broken, wear’ly slog through ashen soot.
Doubt’s trumpet sounds, that full religious toot
which howls in pompous, mocking, vibrant health
as I run far away, in fear 'f myself,
and chase away the day I end kaput.
But even in the hand of vill’nous doubt,
I know I’ll rise above in victory.
And even when I’m hit with doubter’s clout,
I have no doubt I’ll see that sun-kissed sea.
For even when some faith in me I lack,
I know — in time — I can my doubt attack.

Rithaniel (you might have inspired for a three-colored land cycle that I needed for one of my future sets in my huge plan, I will not copy this one as this is yours, but seeing it did gave me a potentially good idea)
RattingRots (I wanted to vote for at least one in the cycle, as I really like the idea for the cycle, and today looks like a good day to do so. Only thing: the number of counters is always expressed as a number word and not a numeral, it should be "Put three +1/+1 counters...")

@netn10 I replied to you in the discussion thread.

Struggle of Champions 2RG
Sorcery (U)
Target creature you control gets +1/+0 until end of turn for each other creature you control, then it fights target creature you don't control. Then draw cards equal to the number of creatures who died during the fight.
