This and More or Less are some of my favorite Acorn/silver bordered cards as its such a unique space that while kinda silly mechanically is decently powerful and in-line with more normal magic effect.

Digital-only design aside, I think the idea of alternating between modes is an interesting one that could be implemented in a physical-release card.

I do like the idea. I've designed something in a similar space that asks you to choose one that hasn't been chosen more than another, as there were 4 options that were going to fire off frequently.

I think a lot of us in the Custom Card forums did something like this at one point or another, ie "choose one that hasn't been chosen last turn/last phase" etc. Interesting implications for gameplay, but possibly confusing in multiples.

I assume he was a lot more handsome by Talruum standards before Volrath tortured him into albinism. Apparently he was an especially good-looking and impressive child, which led everyone to think he had a great destiny? His backstory's weird.

Protection's such an interesting catch-all mechanic; it can be a counterspell, or make your creature unblockable, or prevent all the damage an opponent's creature might deal in combat .. until you get to weird cases like trample.

Shroud, hexproof, and ward all much more limited (because they only focus on the spell half). I'd prefer some version of hexproof that's oriented toward the player that provides it (ie, if I give my opponent's creature newhexproof, I can target it but they can't), giving it the potential to be used in a more aggressive fashion.
