Stoke Hellfire 1R
Sorcery (R)
For each opponent, you and that opponent each create a 1/1 red Devil creature token with "When this creature dies, it deals 1 damage to any target." Goad each token an opponent created this way.
IIW: Player counters (experience, poison, etc)
I like how differently this plays in a two player game and a multiplayer game. I probably wouldn't play this in a two-person game, but would be all for the (minor) chaos that ensues in a four-player one!

your IIW those are player counters not tokens.
---------
Dispatch Life 1U
Instant
Counter target creature or planeswalker spell. It's owner creates 1/1 blue Spirit token with flying.
IIW: Arcane is Back baby
I like this as a sort-of
Swan Song variant that leaves something small behind for the opponent's troubles.

Owl's Well 1U
Artifact {U}
Owl's Well enters the battlefield with three feather counters on it.
T, Remove a feather counter from Owl's Well: Add
U
When there are no feather counters on Owl's Well, sacrifice it. If you do, draw a card, then create a 1/1 blue Bird creature token with flying.
IIW: A card with flavor text.
This is a really cool mono-blue mana rock that has a bit of
Gemstone Mine flavor to it.

Choose your Familiar
1G
Sorcery
Choose 1:
- - Create a 2/2 green cat creature token with haste
- - Create a 3/1 green dog creature token with vigilance
- - Create a 1/3 green spider creature token with reach
IIW: The wolves are at the door.
I like the series of options here! That said, Spiders are historically 1/2, and while I appreciate that all of the options have the same total power+toughness, it's a bit jarring to see for some reason.

Biomantic Breakthrough UG
Instant (R)
Create a token that's a copy of target creature with mana value 3 or less.
"Truly we have mastered life itself." -- Prime Speaker Vannifar
IIW: Super old mechanics
I'm sure there's some way to break this, but I don't know what it is. It's definitely cool!

Veteran Duelist 1W
Creature — Human Warrior (U)
Vigilance
Veteran Duelist enters the battlefield with a shield counter on it.
When Veteran Duelist enters the battlefield, target opponent creates a 2/1 white Human Warrior creature token.
"Have at thee!"
3/2
IIW: Player counters (experience, poison, etc)
I like the Hunted variant, and this is a great mix of abilities. I'm also sorta surprised this name hasn't already been used.

End Swell 2UUB
Legendary Enchantment {M}
When End Swell enters the battlefield and at the beginning of your upkeep, put a tide counter on End Swell.
As long as there is exactly one tide counter on End Swell, all creatures get -2/-2.
As long as there are exactly three tide counters on End Swell, all creatures get +2/+2.
Whenever there are four or more tide counters on End Swell, remove all tide counters from it and you draw two cards.
Endswell 3
Artifact {U}
2, T: Put a shield counter on target creature. Remove that counter at the beginning of the next end step. Activate only as a sorcery.
IIW: "I'm a professional. You can't fool me."
This doesn't cost 2 mana, but is definitely a cool variant on
Tidal Influence.

Conqueror's Song 1w
Enchantment (R)
Whenever one or more creatures you control deal combat damage to a player, you may pay
1W. If you do, create a white enchantment token with "Creatures you control get +1/+1."
iiw: play with the top card of library revealed
I really like how this compounds, and that it's also gated by requiring mana
and getting into the red zone. Solid design overall!

One of these submissions is not like the others....
Chiropteran Predation
1{B}
Sorcery (U}
Cleave
3{B}{B}
Create three 1/1 black Bat creature tokens with flying,
[then sacrifice two creatures].
IIW: Bizarre dinosaurs
I'm not a
huge fan of cleave, but both of these modes seem reasonable and I appreciate the flexibility, especially in black decks that will want to be sacrificing creatures anyways.

Reset B

Exile target creature an opponent controls. Its owner creates a tapped token copy of it.
Aftermath
Origin 1U
Instant (U)
Return target creature you control and target creature an opponent controls to their owner's hands.
IIW: finally complete
This is a sorta convoluted removal spell, but I appreciate the out-of-the-box design for the challenge, and it's definitely got flexibility.

Aggressive Sprouting
Xgg
Sorcery
Create a 1/1 green saproling creature token, then distribute X +1/+1 counters among creatures you control.
Thallid populations would overfill the soil with strengthening agents, then use the growths to enhance themselves. - Sarpadian Empires, Volume VI
IIW: Hive Mind Spiders
Scaling spells are always great, and the ability to just make a huge Saproling on an empty board is a cool mode, as is this functioning as a sort of
Verdurous Gearhulk variant.
