Ham Sand Witch
Creature - Boar Shaman (Rare)
Whenever Ham Sand Witch enters the battlefield or attacks, it deals 1 damage to any target. If you control a desert, it deals 1 more damage to that target, and if you have a desert in your graveyard, it deals 1 more damage to that target (it deals 2 additional damage to that target if you satisfy both conditions.)
Scouting through the deserts of Amonkhet found a lost city, though the inhabitants wanted to hog their territory.
3/3
I was trying to base it off of ramunap hydra, but I didn't want 3 different abilities, so I think that this templating works.
IIW: Uncommon walkers from War of the Spark upshifted to rare.

i have a similar critique on all of these. they're pretty cute color haters (that aren't backbreaking) but for all of them i'm not sure what one of the two colors is doing there.
lot of gator puns today.
recon corpse is the kind of awful pun they would actually print, so good job there. that card is pretty deece, though i'd probably restrict the cmc to 3 or less to make it more white.

Oh yeah "Myr" would be "Mur" if it were an ancient Greek word, which is what it's based on, but since the word is meant to remind you of both ants ("myrmex") and the first syllable of Mirrodin, it's "Meer."

I was going to do this yesterday afternoon, but forgot!
Criteria: Is it green? Is it rare? Does it fit New Phyrexia? Does it have any development problems?
Subject16 - This is probably fine in New Phyrexia, if mildly unexciting. It's definitely green, and it's maybe rare? The actual issue here is that it plays in a fairly similar space to Thundering Tanadon, which has pretty similar stats at common. It rewards you for paying life, but the payoff being temporary is what makes it unexciting to me. If it was "Whenever you pay life, put a +1/+1 counter on Blighted Tyrranax", then I'd be more excited.
Cardz5000 - This is a reasonable rare. I like that this technically would be a 1-mana elf in Standard if you really wanted it, and if you're willing to keep paying life, the ramp you get from this card is a really good rate. I appreciate that it lets you choose the color but that you can't mix and match, since NPH is a decidedly un-multicolored set (hi Jor Kadeen!).
chetoos - This feels uncommon to me. The rate on this is very low when you compare it side-by-side with Rage Extractor.
wonderful - Neato! This feels like a strong rare that is at home in New Phyrexia. I like all of the various modes and I like how it leverages phrexian mana, since it's not necessarily that great too early on without creatures, but allows you to pay some life to sneak it into your curve as needed.
SecondBestFriend - I was going to complain about how this doesn't feel rare, until I remembered Summoner's Egg which is also rare, so this is a reasonable rate. My only actual complaint is that I don't like it after the creature has been birthed. Once the exiled creature is cast, this should either leave the battlefield or be able to tap to do other things. Probably the former, as otherwise you can just decline the search and you've invented an arguably better Mana Crypt.
Sagharri - Blight Dispenser feels like an absolute nightmare to play against in Limited and I hate it. See: Fevered Convulsions at 4 times the activation cost without all the extra text. This would probably mostly be used to just make sure your opponent never had any creatures.
Winner: wonderful!
