Rakshasa Vizier was always cool but I felt we could do better since it was extremely focused on delve (or payback for graveyard hate). Sultai had some nice cards that cared about its core mechanics and graveyard interactions but didn't have enough actually viable variety of options. This one would play nice with both the self-milling we do to fuel Delve and, later in DTK, it would play well with Exploit.

The last ability's worded that way (and not "Whenever a creature card ... put a +1/+1 counter on") so as to be mindful of Hardened Scales, just like Rakshasa Vizier was.

Delivering what the people wanted: Creature type mashups from Ixalan that might have saved the terrible draft format. Sadly missing in this 5-member cycle was the Merfolk Vampire, but that's ok. None of these individual cards move me in any particular way, unfortunately.

cythare: this makes me gag tbh. I do appreciate the Tempest mashup of sliver and licid (again, gross), though I wonder where you got that sliver ability from...

forestscarl: don't forget your IIW next time! You can't win without one.

spacemonaut: This specific combination of abilities feels a lot like Sidisi, Brood Tyrant meets rakshasa vizier, which is fine. I guess I wish it weren't SO closely sidisi despite largely fitting the challenge. TBH if this literally were Sidisi's first ability and vizier's ability i might like it more.

melli: isn't this more of a colorshift than anything? also lol.

wonderful: On principle I've come to dislike keyword mashups mostly because anything involving +1/+1 counters is cheating. ESPECIALLY GRAFT.

Tog: this really is a monstrosity. But, it works. You get an interesting tension where if you run it out naked on turn 3 with an empty graveyard the opponent can just skip their turn to potentially get a free kill when it flips. You get one activation, but if you miss... it dies before that trigger will resolve. I'm not actually sure if this is a positive (something tells me wizards wouldn't print a GAMER CARD like this anymore...), but i like the decision point.

p.s. this was a bad challenge, sorry. MOST CCC challenge involve some amount of remixing. Understanding the past and being able to reinterpret it is an essential skill for pushing the envelope with new design.
