Lots of great stuff lately. I must say Blinkmoth Assembly is incredible although it would make more sense to me for the tokens to be colorless, and oh wait I see EXACTLY what you're doing here and want to give you a hand for that. Much respect for doing the token-only types too.
Thanks. : )
When it comes to the Blinkmoth tokens... I feel there is a lot of inertia that causes us all to think "it makes more sense for artifact creature tokens to be colorless" and by extension that is true for all the creature types associated with artifact creatures. In this brave new world of colored artifacts though - the one we all live in now - I'm trying to question this and wonder whether there is any color for a card or token that we would consider fitting to the individual card/token without any predisposition to just make artifacts colorless as a default.
What are Blinkmoths? Small fliers that appear in groups and make each other stronger. That sounds white enough to me. I, too, feel the above-mentioned inertia though and can easily see myself go either way on the color or lack there-of. It's not an integral part of the design. It will be interesting to see whether the surge in colored artifacts also will result in more colored artifact tokens in canon
Magic cards.
I was wondering how long it would take for someone to comment on the theme. :D It's daunting.
