Welcome to the DCC!
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post in the DCC Discussion Thread.
How does this card-making game work? It's simple! Whenever your card receives a vote, you receive [1] point for the month. If your card ends up with the most votes for that day, you will receive [2] additional points for the month. In the event of a tie, each person who tied receives [1] additional point. At the end of each month, the person with the most points on the scoreboard wins that month, then the scoreboard is cleared for the next month. You can participate in as many or as few days as you want in any month.
- Each day you may post any card you want. On the next day all of the posted cards will be put into the thread as long as your card didn't get disqualified - see the next point for more details. If you post more than one card in a DCC thread, only the first card you post will be taken.
- When you vote, you need to make exactly two votes for two different people. Vote for the cards that are listed in the first post, not other cards being posted in the thread. If you notice that you've only voted for one person, include your second vote in a post, even if you're not submitting a card.
- If you want to change your vote for any reason, post that change in the day's thread (you can include it with your card if you want). Changed votes in the discussion thread will be ignored.
- Voting for only one person, for three or more people, or for yourself will earn you an asterisk by your name in the monthly leaderboard. So will failing to vote if you've posted a card. (We're not going to do anything about people who don't vote or post cards; that would be kind of silly.) This indicates that you're on probation for the next 21 days. If you're on probation and you make another improper vote, your card will be disqualified. Repeated disqualification is grounds for warnings and/or infractions for not following the game rules, so please don't do it.
- Voting for everything in the poll will be grounds for a lifetime ban from the DCC. Don't do it. It just wastes the thread creators' time.
- If you wish to post a render, please use the hyperlink option when posting your card and make the card name the image link. Renders are usually large enough to clog up the list, so submit a text-formed card and (optionally) a link in the name to the render.
- This thread is just for your card submission. Take your questions/comments to our discussion thread. If it's a question, comment, or complaint about probation, PM void_nothing and/or the month's DCC organizer.
- When posting make sure that:
- You have included all of the previous day's entries.
- You update the leaderboard with the previous day's scores.
Exhausted.

Zoll, Jetwing Bone-Eater
Legendary Creature – Bird (R)
Flying
Whenever a creature card is put into a graveyard from anywhere, you gain 1 life and Zoll, Jetwing Bone-Eater gains deathtouch until end of turn.
: Put Zoll, Jetwing Bone-Eater from your graveyard onto the battlefield transformed.

Whenever Souleater, Bonewing Jet deals combat damage to a player, look at the top four cards of that player's library, exile one of them, then put the rest into their graveyard. You may play cards exiled by Souleater.

ArdorhmsShowHideI really liked both of these, and essentially didn't vote for them because of minor templating/costing issues.
Rithaniel - I'm not sure if I'm allowed to search for 2 different types (like a creature and an instant for example). I think I would be able to, but the wording is a little unclear. If that is the intent, I think it's the better way to go - if the intent is to force them to be the same type, I think it's too arbitrary a restriction. I really really like this, but I have a tough time voting for something when I can't exactly parse how it's supposed to work. Also I don't think this is the end of the world, but there's a universe where you pay RG and tutor for creatures and instants which feels a bit off color - not a dealbreaker and I think it's worth it to make this interesting mana cost but just a minor knock against this card.
emily - My complaint is super minor - I think a splashable draw 3 is an example of a card that makes colors too unimportant - it would be too easy to throw this into any old deck that can barely generate any blue mana. I think if it was a sorcery you could maybe justify it, but as an instant I think it's too good in too many decks can just splash for it. Personally I'd reduce the cost and make it an instant speed draw 2.
Enchantment - Aura (U)
Enchant Creature
Enchanted creature has haste.
, Return Ardor to it's owner's hand: Research (You draw a card, then discard a card).

Time's Grip
Enchantment (R)
Player's can't cast spells with converted mana cost greater than their turn count. (A player's turn count is the amount of turns they've started.)
Sacrifice Time's Grip: Until end of turn, spells cost more to cast.

Eater of Ingenuity
Creature--Gremlin (Rare)
You can't cast this spell unless you control an artifact
When Eater of Ingenuity enters the battlefield, sacrifice three artifacts. If you sacrifice three artifacts in this way draw three cards

Honorable mentionShowHidemarioguy3 - I like the card but it's just a functional reprint of Gelatinous Genesis, and "functional" only because the creature type of the tokens is different, otherwise it would just be a straight up reprint.Conclave EducatorNotes about ELDShowHideTwo things:
• I fully agree with void_nothing's note of the day.
• It's usual for me in the DCC, but I'll still mention it explicitly here as it's the first preview season on this site. I always wait until the full set is revealed to design and vote for cards involving the mechanics from the new set. Who knows if the card you've designed is actually real and just not revealed yet. And yes, it can happen. I know it because it happened to me with the enemy creature lands from BFZ. I had designed my own BW one during preview season when the cycle hadn't been revealed yet. Then a few days later it was revealed, and surprise! The actual BW one was exactly the one I had designed myself, only with a different creature type when animated and a different name. But it had the same exact activation cost, base stats and ability (lifelink) as the one I had made. I've been applying this self-made rule since then. So, if you're wondering why you're desiging Adventures or cards with adamant or that create Food tokens or that are clearly made to interact with any of the mechanics every day and it looks to you that I'm ignoring your designs, this is the reason. I'm just waiting for the whole set to be revealed because you never know, the card that you've just designed might be a real one. And if you're wondering why you're not seeing cards with those mechanics from me yet, that's also the reason. Don't worry, I will design plenty once the whole set is public and I'm sure I'm not overlapping with a real card. This is not an official rule or anything like that, it's just my own. I will do this for every set, but I won't repeat this every time. I'm just saying it here now because it's the first time it happens on Nexus. Ok, with this out of the way, let's move on.
Creature — Elf Advisor (R)
: Populate. (Create a token that's a copy of a creature token you control.)
: Draw a card.
Teamwork (Your creatures can help activate this permanent's abilities. Each creature you tap while activating an ability of this permanent pays for or one mana of that creature's color.)

Crawling FortressResponse to RattingRotsShowHideActually, you have a very good point. Looking up similar cards just now, I found that the correct wording would have been "creature, instant, and/or sorcery cards," likely because it is ambiguous otherwise. You learn something new every day.
Also, it would be quite "interesting" to see Gruul tutoring instants to the graveyard, but you could also justify it that this is Izzet teaming up with Golgari and just so happening to be wearing the same color clothing as Gruul.
Artifact - Vehicle U
Trample
You may crew Vehicles with creatures based on their total toughness rather than their total power.
