You know, aside from the obvious werewolves, I don't think we've seen sentient wolves on any plane. Yeah, Capenna has lots of various sentient races, but still no upright wolves, as far as I know.

IIW: Black moth
It's almost a universal solution; it misses lands, and requires bounce to hit artifacts and enchantments. But that's a pretty low cost for what's a permanent solution to most other threats, so it should cost a little more.

The lyrics suggest dying moreso than exile, and I don't really see the "joy." What would this card look like if you played up that aspect? It makes me wonder if another bit of lyric from the same song might have been more appropriate ("Hush now, hide, all you little ones"?)

Queens of the Stone Age -- Great read on the card; I like that it's an oblique reference to the flavor text, rather than straight on.

I have no idea how In Calico relates to Dack Fayden, but that's my fault for not caring so much for Magic lore.

TMBG -- What a dark read on an otherwise positive lyric

Hey Violet -- A nice pair of effects, with quite a bit of tension as to which mode to play.

Should we consider card names flavor text? It's often the first bit of "fluff" players discover, and even a series of cards with interlinked names but no flavor text can still help set the milieu, or even tell a story.

IIW: Clockwork Angels
Rush for me is one of those bands that my older brothers always liked, but I never quite got into -- so I know them more by reputation than direct involvement. They're Canadian, right? ;)

All the cards show a nice relationship between the song/flavor text and the rules text. Other than the first, they all have an enjoyable tension, There are some minor wording issues that deserve to be addressed to clean the cards up.

So, the winner is 2112, just narrowly beating out Frank's Wild Years and the Plantaurs.
