NEXUS FLAMINGO ☆ Exclusively For Custom Card Connoisseurs and Gnomes
Grist, of the endless swarm
Legendary Planeswalker - Grist
As long as it is not on the battlefield, Grist is a 2/2 insect creature in addition to its other types.
+2 - Mill three cards. If an insect creature card is milled this way, you gain 2 life.
-3 - Return target insect creature card from your graveyard to your hand. Until your next turn, whenever a creature attacks you or a planeswalker you control, that creature gets -x/-x, where X is the power of the insect you returned to your hand.
-X - Return any number of insect creature cards with total mana value X or less from your graveyard to the battlefield.

I'm saying that this plane is the insect plane. While the hives do have rudimentary intelligence, nothing approaching sentience. You have ants (Jund) bees (Jeskai) termites (Abzan) wasps/hornets (Grixis) and Beetles (Bant) Note that not the entire plane is insects, there are other animals, but the insects control a lot of the land.
Ruler of the Hill
Creature - Insect
Whenever Ruler of the Hill deals combat damage to a player or planeswalker without a sting counter, put a sting counter on that player or planeswalker
If a source would deal damage to a target with a sting counter on it, that source deals that much damage plus 2 instead.

Queen of the First Hive
Legendary Creature - Insect
Whenever another nontoken insect enters the battlefield under your control, create a 1/1 red and white insect creature token.
Flying, ward 2

Slimestorm
Tribal Instant- Ooze (U)
If you control two or more creatures with +1/+1 counters on them as you cast Slimestorm, it resolves as a 0/0 creature with a +1/+1 counter on it. (The text below resolves when it enters the battlefield.)
Create a 0/0 green Ooze creature token with a +1/+1 counter on it. Then proliferate.

All right let's go!
Interesting card and a good rate, but fairly conventional. Good card otherwise.
Interesting flavor in that it's probably providing you with extra energy as it decays, and probably pilots vehicles the same way. Presumably this is sentient.
Mechanically it captures the feel of a grey-goo scenario, although in gameplay-wise this probably isn't a lot of fun.
Slimestorm seems like a lot of rules effort for something rather simple.
I feel that flavorfully this might be better off portrayed as a suit of armor or something wearable, and utilize the reconfigure ability, to really give the feel of equipping an Ooze. Go all in!
Simple, but I think it needs the phrase, "dealt damage to it this turn".
Here are the results:
3rd place: Ulka
2nd place: cheetos
Winner: Krishnath

True, splitting slimes are more common than combining, but one recent example are the "flans" from Final Fantasy 13 and its spin-offs/sequel, including a massive one called Royal Ripeness.NinjaCaterpie wrote: ↑1 year agoConglomerating Ooze
