JJ: This is actually a custom card I printed out and playtested with IRL out of curiosity. I will have to agree with you on power level after testing, but not for the reasons you might think: it was actually extremely hard to combo out the 9 counters for the alternate win condition, but getting to 3 counters for the extra body was too *easy*. It essentially ended up being too good... of a midrange creature.

("Could've paid but didn't" doesn't account for hidden mana abilities, like the mana abilities of cards in that player's hand or face down on the battlefield.)
Is it really betrayal when they change their minds before recruitment is even finished?
