I think it's funny as hell that they are simplifying creature types in the same era where every card has 12 sentences of rules text. No way we can keep track of Efreets under these circumstances.

I can't say I've ever been seriously inclined to double sleeve but if I was I'd much rather just use proxies.

Classic "this guy is up to no good" cards IMO. Either you're and agent of chaos or you have a nefarious plan to take advantage of the bonus draws. Either way you get my most suspicious glance if you drop any of these.

The power creep is turning me off this set big time.

Yeah I'm all for letting people get their deck going and "do the thing" so to speak, but if their thing is comboing out on turn 3 or disk locking the board they're going to have to understand that they need to self-police or others are justified picking on them.

Every time a cracked proliferate card comes out and it's not green or an artifact it makes Fynn cry.

I really wanted to set aside my cynicism and like this UB for old time's sake, but they all seem like they're some combination of terrible and obnoxious. Just a big L all around. Minor points for being fiddly that's kind of funny considering they're fiddly toys.

I've seen a few cybertrucks in the wild around here and my first thought is always that maybe if you pay more they'll unlock the higher graphics settings.

I like this version because it really embraces the absurdity of the profile showcase style. Not to mention that it's a great card that does all the things by itself.

If anyone's curious my dream card is RW legend that has the abilities of both Stranglehold and Topor Orb.

Bonus points for how hard she goes "check out this %$#% dophin!" in the showcase art.

I feel like this would be exceptional even if only had the top 2 or the bottom ability. Having them all is modern MTG design in a nutshell.

If I'm going to be thoroughly cynical their decision to drop silver border was another subtle deception intended to get people to buy more of the set who didn't exactly know what it was or how all this works. I don't think there's a technical reason why the silver borders couldn't stay.

Yeah silver border already hit the sweet spot for casual formats IMO. I don't think they needed to mess with the formula at all, other than to try and double dip to get sanctioned format players to buy the product.

The issue is Wizards constant attempts to have their cake and eat it too with the supplemental products (if you can even call them that anymore with the clip they are released). God forbid they release a draft set or casual set that doesn't also appeal to every other vertical. So we get sets like Ba...

The entire premise was insane. Fiddly, combersome, and completely unnecessary. It was like they deliberately decided to ruin Un-Sets for the only people who actually enjoyed them. As the owner of an Un-cube I didn't consider a single card. That's when you know your %$#% up.

Hrmm. I would consider this for slinging. It would generate a lot of value over the course of the game if left unaddressed, and if you're not recurring or otherwise re-using cards from the yard I like it. I think the tension is that most decks I would run this in are also playing Mizzix's Mastery ty...

Clever Impersonator is as close as I'd ever realistically come to playing this. It will usually have an OK target but flexibility is king.

Ah I haven't cast this in a hot minute. I need to resolve that soon, no pun intended.

As someone who absolutely loves Legacy and Vintage it's always been very sad to me that become progressively more and more inaccessible over time. They are fun formats if frequently absurd and Wizards lack of care for them is unfortunate.

The portrait art showcase cards always make me laugh. I'm not sure if that's the intended reaction. The merfolk on the other hand is just great.

Geeze this is in fact a good card, maybe even a little too threatening. Red zone ability has a very very good failure state. I also like that it works with tokens so you can just make him a wonky goblin commander or something. I would seriously consider this for a RB deck some day.
