Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - First Response
It becomes a pretty efficient draw engine with Erebos, Bleak-Hearted, Razaketh, the Foulblooded or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Now if only you could use it with any of those in the command zone.

Well now I want to use this in Zedruu the Greathearted as a very roundabout way to gift people other players' stuff.

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Wildfire Eternal
An ability that triggers when something "attacks and isn't blocked" triggers in the declare blockers step after blockers are declared if (1) that creature is attacking and (2) no creatures are declared to block it. It will trigger even if that creature was put onto the battlefield attacki...

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Merseine
Oh hey, I remember drafting Dragon's Maze. So many clusestones...
Anyway, Singing Bell Strike does pretty much everything Merseine can do and has the fringe utility of some janky infinite mana combos.

Gonna add Brion Stoutarm as a general that can both make good use of big vanilla creatures and gain the life back in the process.

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Krond the Dawn-Clad
Funny thing about Archons, according to Plane Shift Zendikar both the rider and the mount are all one creature. Hence why the "human" part almost always has a blindfold.toctheyounger wrote: ↑3 years agoI've never played against him, not even once. But I like the flavour of it. A knight flying a lion is pretty rad.

Re: The MCC Discussion Thread
And once again I forgot power and toughness. I even proofread it a couple times and still missed it. I think I just get to the flavor text and kind of assume that the card is done. It was supposed to be a 0/5, for what it's worth.

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Gift of Immortality
It works well with commanders that can sacrifice things as a cost. I like it in Brion Stoutarm. I almost got it on a Bearer of the Heavens once to make everything explode forever, but I had to leave that game early.

I think it's more useful as a subchallenge. If every first round is forced to be common, that would get old pretty quick. Especially since the space for innovation at common is so limited.

Well, I botched that round. I should have gone for my original idea of a black knight that made a white knight if spent 3 white mana and ignored the subchallenges. And double checked that I had the right rarity. Oh well, have fun on round 4, guys!

Chivalrous Charge
Enchantment (U)
Creatures you control get +1/+0.
Knights you control have trample and haste and attack each combat if able.
If there's a difference between "courage" and "recklessness," the knights of Embereth don't know it.
