Overview

Neon Nexus is a plane in a separate dimension from canon magic planes, such as Ixalan, Kamigawa and Zendikar. This is why no characters that we knew of previously appear in the set. This plane is vast, much larger than any other plane we've visited so far. There are two main parts of the plane: The city, where the set is based, and the outer wastes. The outer wastes are absolutely desolate, it's practically just dust out there, except, occasionally, a mutated being of some sort or a demon may appear out there. The city is heavily fortified to protect the citizens from these dangers, as nobody really knows what lies out there, the conditions too brutal to withstand for more than a day. Neon Nexus is controlled by a council of four members, all different species, and therefore, the plane will accept any travellers from The Beyond (similar to our perception of space) to enter the city. There are not many rules, though anyone who causes trouble or discomfort is quickly neutralized. One fateful day, a demon from the wastes entered the city through an ancient tunnel. He brought many more with him, and then began the Chaos Band, a crime organization based around the destruction of the council and its government. Their motives? Undetermined...
