Dust Lake Infiltrator -- 1RR
Creature - Centaur Barbarian
Ignore all counters on creatures blocking and blocked by Dust Lake Infiltrator.
2/2
.
Is this the correct wording? I'm trying to ignore remove-then-add-back mechanics, since it makes super shenanigans with Doubling Season, Hardened Scales and similar cards. Similar, "All counters are +0/+0 counters" (or a similar, non-functional counter) seems dubious, although it does open up a mechanic that might care about your opponent's creatures having, say, tar counters on them.

Since the effect only lasts during combat, it shouldn't create too much of an upheaval, although this guy eats Ivy Elementals and Spike Cannibals for breakfast.

Other thoughts?

I've seen the "base power and toughness" used a few times in the rules, but that would prevent anthems and such as well.

You could do something like "Creatures blocking or blocked by Dust Lake Infiltrator get -1/-1 for each +1/+1 counter they have, until the end of combat" which would cover *most* scenarios (but wouldnt' hit Ikoria ability counters).
