I would say Uncaged Fury, like the others. My other option would be Inspiring Captain, but Fury is the better card

We pick up Temur Battle Rage Uncaged Fury and vividly remember the finals of GP San Jose 2015. Gotta have a plan.

The final pack before the wheel gives us a red spell reprinted from the height of the "common removal should be at 5" era and a few reasonable picks still pulling in green and white directions.

We're solidly in red with Scorch Spitter, Uncaged Fury, Chandra's Spitfire, and Glint-Horn Buccaneer. We have one white card (Pacifism), one green/white card (Ironroot Warlord) and a Meteor Golem.

Given we are in red, Reduce to Ashes is solid pick and worth considering.
I would pick up Sedge Scorpion here, as I've won games because of this 1/1 scorpion stalled their big beater.

Sedge Scorpion. Could swing RGW yet.

I wouldn't go for the scorpion at tjis moment.. A big flying beater like Herald of tje Sun in a color with good common removal really tempts me. I like reduce to ahes too, even when it is quite expensive. It can kill everything except tje biggest bombs and exiles stuff., preventing recursion such as Murasa, black cavalier, Gravedigger, blood, etc.

I would go with The Herald. The flier synergy can make some late picks like the flying goblins better for us,

I think they're all highly defensible and I'm glad we're getting interesting decisions this far in but majority favors Sedge Scorpion. Personally I'm with Dusk here: this thing (and its black equivalent) have done huge work for me as 1/1s.

Our first pack comes back to us with the expected wheel. Are we still up for it?

Keldon Raider triggers buccaneer and gives a bit of antiflood tech. Very good stats, too.

Wasn't the dream to combo the buccaneer with dragon mage? Let's do it!

I agree on Dragon Mage. While combo is nice, so is a big flying beater

This is definitely a classic "what's good vs what's awesome" situation. I don't think the dragon is *really* playable - 7 is a silly amount to pay even for a 5/5 flier and the ability is usually a drawback - but hitting for the full 12 with buccaneer would be awesome. One of the NPCs in this draft would be taking the Raider but screw that, let's go for it.

With this 9th pick we're now in the final, accelerated portion of pack one. I'll leave pick 10 up for the (North American) night and then run through the remaining picks very quickly tomorrow, posting a "default" pick with each pack and taking that after 3 hours if no one disagrees. We'll then start Pack 2 at this time tomorrow night.

Pack 10 contains:

Swamp
Angelic Gift
Befuddle
Healer of the Glade
Yoked Ox
Goblin Ringleader
Season of Growth
Cards Drafted So Far

Hide
Scorch Spitter
Sedge Scorpion

Pacifism

I'd go with Healer of the Glade. Three life is nothing to scoff at and would help against decks that put lot of.pressure. We might even get some Elemental sinergy boon should we happen to get a Chandra, a Lavakin or an overgrowth elemental or so.

Relatively easy Healer of the Glade for me.

We pick up Healer. I'm pretty dubious about the claim that this guy protects us from early pressure. Most of the aggro strategies in the format are super evasive or really wide. I think it's the pick, but I won't be happy if it makes our 40.

Pack 10 comes around with... well some money at least:

Mountain
Blood Burglar
Unholy Indenture
Season of Growth
Leyline of the Void

Our default pick will be Season of Growth. Three hours to comment.

Season it is.
Red continues to be open:

Mountain
Duress
Maniacal Rage
Ripscale Predator

As I don't particularly enjoy setting out to get 2-for-1'd Ripscale Predator will be the default pick.

I'm moving the "cards drafted so far" spoiler to my signature, both to make my job easier and to advertise limited I guess. If you have signature display turned off I apologize :P

Counterpoint: Maniacal Rage can take out a blocker in a pinch. Taking that.

Either red card works here, though Rage is likely a little better. Its a pump for you, and as void_nothing points out can deal with a blocker to get extra damage through
