What I appreciate about this card, other than its utility as a land or a spell, is that it grabs cards with converted mana cost 3 or greater, not less. So playing this on curve should be able to get something out of most opponent's hands.

By the way what are we even calling these cards? Side-lands?

I'm a bit worried about this hitting other DFCs that are kept for the land-option since the front side is always the spell and will always have a cmc that's not necessarily 0. Though we used to get three-mana discard spells before there never was that incentive to play a spell as a tapped land just to keep it from being discarded.
Maybe it's nothing.

Yeah, but those are obviously duals, so I don't put them in the same category. They can go by (modal) DFC duals. I aim for separate names for separate cycles.

But if you have to, you can call the rare ones land-lands. ; )

I think "choice-lands" might stick, actually. Maybe even the technically correct "modal lands".
