Having a debate with a friend, can Gaea's Bounty find dual lands such as Temple Garden?
Accepted Answer
Yes. Forest refers to a subtype. Both basic and nonbasic lands can have that type.

Psst, check the second page of Custom Card Contests & Games! Because of the daily contests, a lot of games fall down to there.

The updated oracle text has a capital F:
(And for completeness, the game rules do say to consult the oracle card reference to determine what a card really does.)Search your library for up to two Forest cards, reveal those cards, and put them into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
But the capital/non-capital-ness doesn't matter. As is, it's just searching for cards with a certain characteristic, that being the forest type. It can find any card with that type, even a Dryad Arbor.
If it were referring to the basic, it would have said "basic Forest" like Nissa's Pilgrimage. If it were trying to refer to a card by name, it would have needed to say "cards named Forest", like Nissa's Encouragement.
The casing itself is just an aesthetic convention. Wizards capitalises subtypes when they're mentioned on cards, and lowercases other types ("creature", "legendary", etc) as well as colors. I don't know why they chose to capitalise subtypes, but they did. It would work the same if Wizards decided to start printing subtypes in lowercase tomorrow.
