Oh, hey, a weaker extinction. Still takes care of most creature types. Love it.

Cry of the Carnarium is somewhat better since it exiles creatures that die and can exile creatures that survived but then killed a little later on the turn

Seems decent. Interesting to contrast with Plague Engineer in Modern. Depends on how many tribal decks there are though. There are a lot of things this misses though - most Eldrazi, Urza, etc.

I find it awkward the way they repeat creature in the rule text. I guess to be 100% they couldn't just just "creature of the type of your choice", with the fact that the type has to be a creature type implied by the fact that creatures are being affected.

Otherwise, I'd rather that they split the rule text in two :
Choose a creature type.
Creatures of that type get...

As someone who loves tribal decks boo boo I say.

Pretty good this set has some tribal stuff and I'm guessing we'll see some more in the next few so this might be a good balancer.

Any fairytale that incorporates a witch's curse over a land or people... Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast off the top of my head.

Yeah more of a generic theme/trope then reference to a singular tale.
