EDIT: And, consider how artists these days all try to put too much muscle onto minotaurs, I'm glad this one remains faithful to the character's original design; fit, agile, smoother. I don't like the eyes though, it's too generic compare to older art like, say, Pete Venters.

Your right that he looks like the pre-mutilation one, I had honestly forgotten how he looked in the first place but I really loved the corrupted appearance of Minotaur and the this just seems like it could be any Minotaur from Theros or anywhere else.

Lore wise, many Minotaur scarred themselves to look like Tahngarth's mutated body after witnessing his prowess in Invasion war.
