Doesn't this mean you can't attach it at all, because you can't pay the cost? Like Lotus Bloom, etc.

Also, as-worded you can't equip it to an opponent's creature, because the equip ability is specifically tied to "creature you control"; you need a different ability to attach it to an opponent's creature, see Bloodthirsty Blade.

While a very niche case. It would be cool if it always had "Equipped creature gets +4/+0 and has vigilance and indestructible." To combo with Bludgeon Brawl and any future similar cards.

Regardless, this is some interesting design space. The Troupe of the legendary equipment that has to recognize its wielder.

Another minor thing to note is that the Treasure subtype doesn't inherently grant abilities, so you'd have to write out "T, Sacrifice this: Add one mana of any color."
