Whenever you cast a permanent spell with a mana cost that contains , put a +1/+1 counter on Xerophile Hydra, than the value of X for that spell becomes equal to the number of +1/+1 counters on Xerophile Hydra.
Everything grows around it and makes it grow in turn.
