At the beginning of combat on your turn, create a 1/1 white Human creature token.
Whenever a Human or Kor attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on it.
Whenever chaos ensues, you may create Avtga il-Kor, a 0/1 legendary blue Kor creature token with shadow and "Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, draw that many cards."
IIW: Think back to your first booster pack. Design a rare or mythic card that would have fit in that set and would have been better than your first rare.

Who judges when Meg is the one delinquent on the judging?
This is intellectually interesting to me. There's a push and pull here—Outside of an environment where you can be reasonably certain the opponent will play a snow land, you're allowing the opponent a choice: Get a tunnel effect but at the cost of giving up a treasure. I don't know that this is enough to make me want to put this card in my deck. If we CAN be reasonably certain we will be encountering a snow land, it still seems like a small gain for a potential drawback. We do get Rogue's Passage after all. My real comment is that I'd like to see this on an artifact or enchantment. This card has a lot going on for a land, especially one that other players are allowed to activate. I'd prefer this be on a card type that is less likely to be buried under a pile of basic lands.chetoos wrote: ↑5 months agoBretagard Ski Lodge

I like it. Very playable without any snow, pretty good when you have some. Making this multicolor with blue was a good choice as well, since I don't think red can get this ability this efficiently by itself.Sporegorger_Dragon wrote: ↑5 months agoFirst Snow

Oh jeeze. Turn 1 monarch for free puts this into Library of Alexandria territory. Honestly, better than Library. You can even use redundant copies to steal it back if they manage to wrest it away from you. I'm going to pretend that this card doesn't do that while I talk about the rest, since that line alone is pretty egregiously overpowered. In general I like the idea of a monarch-enabled land. We haven't seen one yet, actually, which might be a clue as to general power level of these things. I am curious why proliferate was the choice here for the second ability. I may be missing some context on why you went with that.lookingupanddown wrote: ↑5 months agoPalazzo del Nord

Interesting. The card is a baseline pacifism with the ability to significantly upgrade into hard removal if you have snow. Flash on a pacifism is a flag for me since it can trick the less experienced into making a play that doesn't work. However, in most normal circumstances you'll have some snow permanents in play if the card has flash, so if you do trick yourself into trying to "stop a guy from attacking" midcombat, you'll at least have shrunk their guy and may get to make a profitable block nonetheless. I'm not sure if that's smart design or if it should be taken back to reconfigure and avoid the opportunity for the misplay. My tiebreaker is Lawmage's Binding. Wizards clearly thinks it's ok (Binding is not only a common but was reprinted in ostensibly-for-new-players Jumpstart!) so we can lean on the side of smart design.spacemonaut wrote: ↑5 months agoSnowed In

This round has tons of really fun top-down design choices. Thank you.
But it was I, Dio! is a great kind of through the breach / sneak attack trick. The fact you can keep it forever is a big deal in these colors; I can ninjutsu my guy for Emrakul and keep him. That suggests this should be in another color, like green alongside Champion of Rhonas. I think this card's in a danger zone and would likely be banned in modern and standard but let's put it in the JoJo commander decks.
Oh, you're approaching me? is funny: two characters fighting solo in a tense situation to kick each other's ass while everyone else is helpless to stop it. It's great. The shroud will cause it to fail to resolve though. Give it split second instead, or a Spectra Ward style exception?
Ora and Muda: Extraordinary mirrored pair. Fantastic call on the costing of each and cancelling each other out this way. For the uninitiated, Ora and Muda sound like this; Ora doesn't mean anything, but Muda means useless!
There must be... is a really good counterspell, and a really interesting way to create a narrative surprise twist in gameplay.
Stand (You can have two commanders if the other has stand user. You may pair this with another unpaired stand user when either enters the battlefield.)
Ok, with that resolved I could properly digest the card. I really like the potential for Stand and Stand User, and I love this "one extra phase" effect. Wonderful design.
Hamon Breathing itself is a solid card. Great protection choices and a guaranteed powerhouse in and of itself. It might warrant costing a tad more—take a look at how much Prowess gets done—but it's solid overall.
Sunlight Yellow Overdrive is great, but I'm concerned about the potential to do an exile board wipe on the opponent for 2 mana because I cast this after declaring attackers/blockers. This should definitely cost more or downgrade the removal or trigger to something else.
Turqoise Blue Overdrive is great removal and well tuned.
I like color choices on those overdrives.

How are you moving... is a really clever anti-Extra Turn card, and probably actually a really good draw/go card. Have an upkeep trigger that wastes someone away, have 4 mana, simply keep them taking extra turns. I want to see what deck would pilot that.chetoos wrote: ↑5 months agoHow are you moving in my stopped time?

That's a lot of text to fit on a card, but luckily Soulbond (Deadeye Navigator) gives us a way to condense its reminder text, taking advantage of the fact that reminder text never has to quite resemble CR, just remind you of it:chetoos wrote: ↑5 months agoThe World, time stopper
