Thanks for all the suggestions so far. We got a nice theme going between x mana creatures, +1/+1 counters and creatures that help cast the mana sink nature of the x spells.

With 26 creatures so far, we still want about another 10 creatures so that we have options.
But now that we have a general plan, any artifacts. enchantments or planeswalkers that people want to suggest are welcome.

We are not looking for any "oops I win" cards like Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura as these will get you infinite mana with Zaxara, the Exemplary and with all the x spells this would be 3 card combos and one of the stipulations is: "Combos must be 4 cards or more and interactive".

Iceberg is my Enchantment pick. We have fuel for x spells on an x spell. nothing finer.

I think Yawgmoth, Thran Physician is probably correct in this thing we're doing. I'm not a giant fan of proliferate but it does seem good on our current heading.

Mana Bloom. Could just do it for x=4 each turn and just remove a counter each player turn to return to hand to replay.
With Kruphix, God of Horizons that's a freebie more or less.

Ok, right from my own Arixmethes Slumbering Isle X costs matters, I will nominate Gilder Bairn, a little fellow that can make any hydra twice as big and works with other type of counters as well.

Corpsejack Menace feels pretty good, maybe more fun than some of the doubling enchantments.

Creature slots are almost full, so I thought I'd get in at least one more.

Nikara, Lair Scavenger is perfect with the counters theme to get you draw even off the token Hydras if they die/exiled/cyclonic rifted.

Hmmm.... I'll toss in another new card: The Ozolith. Bonus points if we ever get to kill something with -1/-1 counters that we put on it with Black Sun's Zenith.
