As someone who has 4 wall of omens in a deck in modern. I'm glad this guy is probably not going to be a modern staple.

No. When you put both damage and -x/-x on a creature, it's the damage that's killing it. In your example, Godzilla sees that it's a 6-power creature with 2 damage on it, and says, "You still got four more to go, bruh."

Honestly, he'd be good with anything that boosts power.
