I would like "not on the battlefield" or "aren't on the battlefield" to be clarified thank you.
For example I have the planar card Glimmervoid Basin in play.
What happens if I cast Swords to Plowshares on a creature? Will all the creatures get exiled that are in libraries and hand?

No - Swords to Plowshares simply cannot target anything that isn't a creature (on the battlefield). Glimmervoid Basin is worded in such a way to cover anything a spell possibly COULD target, except for a few rarities like targeting abilities. In this case, StP will be copied for every creature. They will all be exiled and their controllers will all gain life equal to their power, assuming the copies all resolve. Nothing will happen to creature cards in any other zone.
