Playing this in golos for the past couple of weeks I have found it to be incredibly easy to use and an amazing side wincon that is not intrusive at all. Also works amazing with vesuva and supposedly with thespian's stage. Combine this all with aura shards, glare of subdual/opposition, Yawgmoth, purphoros, and Kindred Discovery and a lot can come from very little investment.

Field of the Dead has been a great card in my Omnath deck, but it's land based anyway. And to be fair about it, I often forget I get the zombies. Usually I'm focusing on other stuff, but luckily I play with very nice people.
If you can make it work, it's definitely a very good card, but as others said you can't put it anywhere. I don't think it works well without some land based shenanigans.
