Is there anything beyond the obvious involved in the interaction of these two cards? The controller of Opposition Agent gets five cards and the caster of Doomsday loses?

Seems like you basically have it right. Since searching the library is not optional (as it is with Finale of Devastation for example), Opposition Agent will apply to the search. 5 cards must be found, if they have 5 cards between their library and graveyard, and those are exiled to Agent. The rest are exiled to Doomsday's effect. So, they will have 0 cards in their library when all is said and done and you will have access to the 5 cards you found. Until that player loses the game of course. Which is most likely going to happen the next time they try to draw a card.
