Here are my thoughts on the cards from Modern Horizons 2:
Esper Sentinel - I think this can be a good early drop to try to either slow people down a little or just get a couple cards out of it. In the later game, it really isn't the greatest card (it is definitely no
Rhystic Study or
Mystic Remora) but I think it deserves a shot to see what impact it might have.
Search the Premises - This seems like a pretty good draw engine. Sure, I need to pay 2 mana for each card, but it does trigger on each creature so I could get a bunch of Clues at a time. Maybe the mana is too much of a hindrance but I think this might be worth it to see what it can do.
Solitude - Removal on a creature is solid and being able to go "shields down" is even better. I want to be aggressive with this deck and this allows me to tap out without being dead in the water to things.
Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer - Ramp and card advantage in one card seems exceptionally good. And coming down on turn 1 allows for some early shots to really ramp. The only thing that is disappointing is that lands can't be played off of it which would have been even better but I think it has some good uses here.
Sword of Hearth and Home - This is a better (sort of)
Sword of the Animist. The main caveat is that this triggers on combat damage whereas Animist triggers on attack so this might not always trigger. But being able to blink something is useful as there are a few things with ETB triggers that would be good to get repeat use out of. I might just do a straight swap of those two swords to see how things go.
