Curiously, I'm very intrigued by the restrictions of this challenge, instead

My solution to preserve the color pie is:
- always give the spell deathtouch and lifelink , since they have no effect if you use 3 or less colors.
- If you use 4 or 5, then you are spending B or G, so deathtouch is ok
- and you are spending W or B for lifelink
- and you are spending R for direct damage or B for life drain / destroy creature

You are right, I realized later as I was going to bed that I probably overreacted and that there are ways around the issue (like off color kicker), it's just that spells that encourage blatant color pie violations make me twitch. Lol.

I am assuming the challenge is to make a card for a potential last set, instead of making an entire last set, which feels way out of scope for this challenge. So one card it is.

Tali's Sacrifice W

(You may cast a legendary instant only if you control a legendary creature or planeswalker.)
Play Tali's Sacrifice only during an opponents turn, during the combat step, before blockers are declared.
Target nontoken creature you control becomes indestructible and may block any number of creatures. At the beginning of the next end step, sacrifice that creature.


IIW: Rare creature types (less than 10 creatures with the type, check gatherer if you aren't sure, Changelings don't count).

I think of a third set in a block, where a new mechanic has been added, and the mechanics from earlier in the block are being stretched to potentially wacky places.
