Hi, out of curiosity. What unbanned Modern cards are your favorites?
The purpose of this thread is to see which unbans are popular. Thread updated with Stoneforge Mystic. People can vote more than one card.

Well, can post what cards you voted if you want, and maybe comment a bit on why you voted them. But please remember, banlist discussions and debates are for another thread. Got warned in mtgs when people started banlist talk (e.g. splinter twin). Don't want to get warned here on nexus.

To start. My votes are SFM and Bitterblossom. Voted them because they are fun to use. ^__^

Sfm makes me excited as it has come at a time where I've been low on the format and represents a huge change.

Now Bitterblossom is the face card of my favourite tribe. Played hundreds of hours of faeries since that card got unbanned (I didn't play when fae were the bogeymen of standard/extended).
Picked up judge promo foils waaay before it was unbanned in modern as I just looking at those cards bring me joy.
Play wise either you win or you're on a clock; that gave isn't going to last all night! Never not had a tight game playing that deck 😊

Bitterblossom was indeed a sweet unban. I personally thought that it would be too good and went on a short timed crusade to get it banned again. Faeries in Standard was insane and in my honest opinion, a Tier 0 deck. Looking at the tools for and against Faeries in Modern, I had thought at the time that it would become so again. I was wrong. That made me a bit sad...

But it was obviously a good unban because anything NOT broken should be unbanned and legal.

Yeah, I think it's likely that we had some kind of clash of opinions during that period. It was an exciting wake up for me to see the card unbanned actually. In hindsight, the card did absolutely nothing and Faeries have very few top8s to show for themselves (which, however, is more that most modern decks can say). I still feel there must be a way to "break" faeries, but we will see with the new set. Indeed it was a crazy deck during its standard period and I was sad to see it did not age well :/ Back then I casted BB on T2 and I felt like I basically won the game. Now I hold my BB until T4+...
