Re: [Placeholder] Primer - Lands
The Legacy forum is still getting up and running. Would you mind sharing your list? I haven't seen a list using Hall before. What are you recurring with it?

Legacy New Card Discussion
Commander 2019 hits soon. Anything you think will make a splash? Two cards stand out to me: Mire in Misery - Two mana edicts are routinely good in Grixis builds. Liliana's Triumph and Angrath's Rampage are currently seeing play. Mire gives the option to hit enchantments as well, which has a few appl...

Re: Could Historic make the move to paper tournaments?
Historic isn't even actually a format yet, since we haven't hit rotation and won't for another 2 months. I could definitely see it coming to paper, however. As far as concerns of the format being broken too quickly, do note that the current standard is exceptionally diverse and fairly well balanced,...

Re: The Format subsections might need some attention
spacemonaut, There's a thread in the main section of the Legacy format that describes the precise breakdown used to split between Proven, Established, and Developing. We're using MTGtop8 metagame share numbers to make the actual call as to where something falls between Proven and Established, but th...

Re: [Placeholder] Primer - Reanimator
I've been playing BR/BU Reanimator for a bit, and Faithless Looting just...feels bad. It can't be a T1 play in addition to a Reanimate spell unless you cast it off of a Petal, and more often than not, you want to be doing something other than drawing and discarding T1. The problem is the same with ...

Re: Solicitation
Will there be a dedicated trading/sales board? There are no plans for this at this time. Trades on MTGSalvation drastically dwindled in the past several years, despite having significant infrastructure built with the Trading Post, trade feedback, and the Bad Trade Report Adjudication system. While ...

Re: Worst matchup for Mono Red Prison
Mono-Red prison is a powerful deck, but it has a few vulnerabilities: 1) Its prison pieces are all fairly targeted. If you're running a deck like Miracles or Grixis Control that runs a fair number of basics to beat Blood Moon, can get to three lands with regularity to beat Trinisphere, and isn't all...

Re: Should Brawl and Standard have separate legalities?
This seems like a good way to support the format, but it has people up in arms about printing more mechanically unique, standard-legal cards that aren't available in booster packs. The collector boosters help bridge this gap to some extent, but they will be very expensive and have a low print-run, ...

Re: Old characters left for legends?
Ashnod and Tawnos are two big ones. There's a whole pile of old Planeswalkers that never got cards: Leshrac, Tevesh Szat, Taysir, Bo Levar, Commodore Guff, etc. There's a number of old characters who have gotten woefully inadequate cards as well: Gerard is primary among them, but there's also Volrath.

Legacy Primer Blueprint
Here's the general outline of what I'd like to see from a Legacy primer: 1) Decklist(s). This should include the primer-writer's preferred decklist as well as a couple of decklists from major events. Ideally these should cover any significant sub-archetype variants. E.g. for Eldrazi Stompy, there sh...

I'm leaning towards 2% being in the Proven group because all of those decks are reasonably significant in the meta.

Organizing the Legacy Subforum
Proposal: Three primary decklist forums. 1) Proven/The Meta: Decks that have a significant meta share. I would define this as >2% (or maybe >=2%) of the meta on MTGTop8 for the current year (in April or after) or the previous year (Jan-March). These are the "decks to beat" in the Legacy me...
