In the wake of the War of the Spark, Chandra Nalaar returns to Amonkhet, determined to fix her past mistakes. She returns to find a world in grave peril as the fall of the Hekma has allowed the wasteland to encroach into Naktamun. The survivors have divided into five well-guarded encampments around the rim of the city, sending in small teams of archaeologists to uncover anything which could give them an edge in reclaiming the city.
