Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread

If you're into co-op and drafting, Spirit Island is quite possibly my favorite 2-3 player co-op title ever.

Not sure I'd compare it to Knight of the White Orchid, as Knight is a full turn faster, which matters a lot when it comes to ramp.
It's two turns faster since the Plains from Cartographer's Hawk etbs tapped. Plus, its etb is more reliable.

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Godsire

Godsire Man, i love this bad boy so much, i've built my dumbest deck yet! Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer just to fetch Behemoth's Herald , Domri's Nodorog , Ethereal Elk , Garruk's Warsteed , Goldmane Griffin and their planeswalkers is as stupid and fun as it gets for low powered pods. As for the tokens,...

Re: Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle | Eggs, Cheerios & Weenies

This time around there's only a tiny change, as the deck has been working flawlessly for quite some time now. Going up in interaction over the past 1-2 years has helped the deck a lot. It might be cute having set up plays, but not losing is where you start winning, i suppose. + 1 Get Lost - I am yet...

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Dreadhorde Arcanist

Dreadhorde Arcanist Man, this fella has been so much fun while I ran it in Zada, Hedron Grinder ! Plenty of one drops to cast and usually a high enough density of buffs if you're aiming for even more than that. And as with other cards in said deck you will likely not see it in a lot of other decks.

It's cute, but i prefer the card up front and other payoffs later.
Speaking of which, i would prefer Dragon Mantle|WOT, especially in its Enchanting Tales Artwork.

Re: SCD: Mercadia’s Downfall

I'm the sole reason my playgroup knows of Mercadia's Downfall 's existence at all. It has been serving me very well over the years. I think mono-decks are not as common as pointed out and even those tend to load quite some nonbasics. I rarely had it buff below +4/+0. It has been best in Gallia of th...

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread

Echoing Truth is the most underplayed card in the format. It certainly should be up there with Sudden Spoiling and Polymorphist's Jest for me. All three have absurd potential! Especially Echoing Truth in times of Treasures and others. Honorable mention Mystic Reflection for being hilarious in the r...

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Gift of Immortality

I am not sure if I had Gift of Immortality in Killian, Ink Duelist or if I only ever used the black return-to-battlefield auras. Minion's Return and the new Fungal Fortitude might still play better in the deck. As a Killian, Ink Duelist player myself i found myself to be quite underwhelmed by Gift ...

[sym=creature] Creatures [sym=1] [sym=w] Dauntless Dismantler - That's a great silver bullet in artifact heavy metas! [sym=2] [sym=w] Mischievous Pup - Can enable Bounce Loops at instant speed. Either way, she didn't age well after being one of the lesser powered PWs anyhow. I'd pick up a Defile instead and spend the money elsewhere.

[sym=creature] Creatures [sym=2] [sym=w] Jo Grant - For midrangey builds adding cycling to all our artifacts is pretty sweet! Re: How many players in your game?

I strongly prefer 3 or 4 player pods. 4 player pods come with more politicking, 3 player matches don't require as much time - so both are great fun. 5 player pods are a mixed bag, as FFAs tend to be terrible and laggy, star/pentagram modes highly swingy. I avoid anything above 5 in a single pod like...

I'm pretty sure this could be disgusting in a toolboxy Lazav, the Multifarious build, Sedris, the Traitor King or The Scarab God.
Sure enough four mana does hold it back aka keep it in check. Idk if three mana would've broken it, but they did play it safe, I guess.
