Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 08/26/2019)

If we see a deck often on camera and if it is broken on camera... So it is a indicator, believe it or not. We saw last week a lot of boring standard field games on cam all day long and some days after they changed the ban announcement, so please it's absolutely wrong believing you can do this 10 wee...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

Scg indi started with urza. Turn 1 he played 5 permanents, turn 2 emry and outcome drawing 5485 cards... This is gg. If we see this more this and next week, it will sure banned too something and not only standard next time. Turn 3 he had 14 permanents in play and opponent stoneforge, lol

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

YM1R, only little sidenote... People didn't stopped playing lantern becausee it was bad, they stopped becazse they jumped to the next better mox opal deck and this was Kci. And Kci player didn't stopped because it was bad, they get a ban and now a lot of this player base still plays mox opal decks w...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

You really can't use hate cards versus urza which costs less as 3 mana. It is the same problem like against Kci... Playset engineered explosives handle this so easy and they use all now a playset of this main. It is not so easy Hatable like you say and we really learned this versus Kci and the engin...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

I copyed this from reddit and it's my opinion too: "... with that preface out of the way....Fast mana, fast wins and combo kills that take a lot of game actions and produce insane board states are all huge red flags for things that WotC will at some point take action against. I don't know if th...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

But this deck change fast even strategy is similar. Some weeks ago whirza, now outcome... So their is no good and clear answer and this italentz tryed to say. Play stony versus outcome, that's only ok... Play cards which stop them drawing extra and you face whirza, it's useless. No clear answer. Use...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

Not so easy. In stream Kanister laughed about stony silence on opponents turn. I am not a expert, but it seems it is not such a big problem like many of us think. Sai, Saheeli, urza don't care about stony and it doesn't Stopp paradoxical too

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

5/8 of top 8 modern decks in Philly are mox opal decks. Affinity, whirza, 3 urza outcome. This is insane

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

Urza beat 2:0 Affinity on stream and even the commentary sayed how strong this deck is and you can build it in different ways like ascendancy, all of them are great. My opinion is this deck is far about rest and reason why we see them so often on stream is because it seems it is allways on top tables.

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

I watch scg Philly and 11/12 matches on stream till now used urza. This is horrible and a very bad sign, because people like me stopped watching streams now, because everywhere same deck. OK it's only a team event, but I think mox is extremely in danger at the moment. Yesterday after round 5 I switc...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

Mox Opal is living on burrowed time. I think it has been said before but what makes Whirza and other artifact decks so strong is the fact that they can have explosive early kills combined with a strong mid and inevitable lategame attacking from multiple angles and combo's which make it hard to disr...

Re: [Deck] Colorless Eldrazi Stompy

It is. I tested with proxys 2 days and it felt great. Can't say for sure because of small sample size, but I felt like having now a safe fast great start. You have temple in hand? Good... No temple? OK so you have maybe once upon in hand and that's like temple turn 1. You have no temple and no once ...

Re: [Deck] Colorless Eldrazi Stompy

Sorry don't know how and can't find rulings for. Difficult on my small cellphone too. I used 25 lands main with 4 mutavault, 3 blast zone, 3 tectonic edge, 3 wastes, 4 temple, 3 Gemstone, 4 ghost quarter, 1 bojuka. Instead of chalice and ssg I used 3 endless one with PS reshaper and PS relic. Rest w...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

The reason why it seems I am the only one serum eldrazi player without chalice. People seems to overestimate its power or forget to much downsides of chalice. I use relics instead and played last week 8:2 in a 460 player tournament. Last big with 110 player it was 5:1:1. Play what you want mapccu

Re: [Deck] Colorless Eldrazi Stompy

Played my biggest tournament ever in Frankfurt mkm series. 460 players and like allways no ssg and no chalice. More lands, creatures and 4 relic main allways. My last big tournament with 110 players I finished 5:1:1 at place 10, this time I finished 20 with 8:2. Lost versus whir prison and top 8 rb ...
